New to Growing

I was trying to decide what watt light I should get for a CloudLab 632, 36" X 20" X 62" tent , growing 1 or 2 plants at a time. and what would you recommend?

I was looking at this but only 100w would I need more or will it work

ONBOARD S22, FULL SPECTRUM LED GROW LIGHT 100W, SAMSUNG LM301B, 2X2 FT. COVERAGE
$99.00
  • Dimmable LED grow light designed with an optimized spectrum and diode positioning, to maximize plant yields.
  • Specially formulated full-spectrum Samsung LM301B LEDs to achieve the highest growth rates in all plant stages.
  • Algorithmically positioned diodes create the most uniform PAR map and the deepest canopy penetration.
  • Dimmer enables 0 to 100% brightness. Can connect with our smart controllers to access grow cycles, scheduling, and app.
  • Constructed on a unibody aluminum board and IP-65 rated for grow environments with higher humidity and heat.

If you only want to run one plant, it's fine. I grew this under a mars ts600 which is pretty similar.

One of those now, and one later if you want to run a second plant will do the job fine.

I grew this under two 110w quantum boards in a 2x4.

Yeah just plan on one plant for my first ever grow. might go for a mars hydro TS600 it is cheaper price and more watts

Just as a heads up, the TS 600 is either a 100w or 85w light depending on where you buy it....mine was advertised as 99w, but came with an 85w sticker and 85w info in the user manual..

Just make sure it's the model you paid for. There is a 225 diode model, and a 240 diode model.

I have a TS600, it says "95W" on the label.
The light is not dimmable, but I really like the build. The aluminium reflector protects it nicely.

If you can get it for $100 or less it is totally worth the money.

So far I've seen 99, 95 and 85w now on their labels ,especially the 85w's "85 +/- 10w. That's 75-95w...I think that's one issue they have to clear up for sure. Have you got the 240 or 225 diode model? Mine was the 225 diode model.

Yeah it states 100w I was looking at model number thinking TS 600W was watts but just model number I guess, but it is on amazon it is 79.99

probably stick to the onboard only 20 more and it has 272 diodes, Samsung LM301B , and dimmable

Forget about the numbers, they are just marketing. Always look at the actual power draw (wall draw), and look for independent reviews regarding PAR values; never trust manufacturers' numbers.

I think the TS 600 is very good value for the 80 dollars. Less than a dollar per Watt is a good offer right now.

Combining several smaller lamps is better than buying a big one, because you can spread the light and get more efficiency. That is, unless you buy an expensive bar-style LED, they also spread the light really well.

I had great results in the past with Mars Hydro TSW-2000. For your size tent I'd get the TSL-2000.
The TSL would be a beast in a 3x2, but sadly it's 118mm too wide for the tent. Has a really good footprint for a 2x4 though. I'm regretting the 240w quantum boards I got for my 2x4s...only 600mm wide. Just not quite enough coverage. Ended up dimming it alongside another 120w QB for 240w spread over 900mm.

I'd say the spider farmer sf2000 would be a good bet.

Spider Farmers 2000 is great too, seems a bit more compact? Don't short yourself on light the difference in watts when it comes to LED could be the difference between a couple extra ounces for a few more dollars of power. Also, you want your lights on temps to be in the 80s °F range or 26 °C for good metabolism.

When I used to grow with Mars Hydro TSW-2000 for 2 years I noticed low temps resulted in loss in yield and sloowww plants. Here are some pics when I was in a tent still.

I had 2 Mars Hydro TSW-2000 in a 4x8 Zazzy tent. 5 gal pots with Mother Earth coco/perlite and I was running Advanced Nutrients Coco Connoisseur base with no additives. Advanced Nutrients always burns the tips of the leaves so I've since switched many times since and finally ended up with CYCO Platinum Series being the best so far..
