Hi welcome to riu bro!
Sounds like a good idea building led fixtures. I am building a cmh maybe with low wattage for my micro soon.
what is the plan?
Cobs?
Plenty of knowledge and information on that to find on riu.
and here are some members who know about everything about building and performance and stuff.
you will have fun bro I am sure!
dont forget to keep me informed how things are working out.

Yes COB, I am currently using one of the models on my grow tent nd they are great. Right now we are working on the design and production of it as we already know what COBs will be going into it along with some additional colors that are overlooked or simpy dont have enough by others.
We are also working on some other fun things like a new bubble cloner method and pH resevoir monitoring/auto watering system.

What cobs you use? Cree?
Ph monitoring......ever thought about regulating ph?
Using ph up and down I think is not the coolest way.
most people like the set and forget kind of thing today.
Think about how they regulate ph in fishtanks.....they use co2.
Thats the way to go. But there are still only co2 based regulation systems for fishtanks available not for hydro reservoirs.
Whats the thing you talk about colors there?
I saw crazy results when people just used 3100k cree cobs.
never saw that with panels and panels come with red and blue led's....
do you mean additional to the cobs?

Yes in addition to the COBs. I have extensive LED experience for plants and corals. One of the best colors for both plants and corals which is often overlooked and under used is the violet spectrum.
We will be experimenting with the pH system and hopefully bringing some fun stuff to both Hydro and soil grows in addition to a compact tent set up for both hydro and soil.

I am looking forward to some show threads from you guys here on riu.
best place to go public with new stuff because lots of intelligent people here. Over here even the trollcloud seems to be "smart" around here and there are not many trolls compared to other forums.
