Hey guys, So I have 2 aeroponic autoflower grows under my belt so far which have worked out great but I've already burnt a 4 pack of seeds from attitude meant for outdoor photoperiod soil. My new seeds will arrive in the morning and I dont want to make the same mistake! This is the soil mix I am using

4x 7 Gallon Buckets with drain holes
1x Promix
3lb each, Blood meal, bone meal
2lb Kelp Meal
3 lb vermiculite
10 cups crushed lime
20lbs Earthworm castings
20 lbs of rich looking dirt from outside
some Epsom salt for good measure

Can someone give me a foolproof method of starting my seeds and growing them for a few weeks before planting them in my hot final soil? Do I need some sort of seed starter? Should I get seed starter cups and fill them with seedling starter soil? if so which kind? Thanks!

Ok ..get a plate place paper towel on it spread out your seeds from each other get another paper towel and cover the seeds.pure water over paper towel and wet it through not soaked you don't want them swimming ...lol..put plate in plastic bag and tie a Nott in it leaving a small bit of air in it..put in a dark warm place and check once a day till the tap root is out quarter inch..you want to put them in 4inch pots with a light mix soil....as jimmer said it perfect for starting seeds...scarcrow77

I start my seeds in the pot they'll be growing in.First I water my 3 gal smart pots with 1/2 gal of water ph 7.0 then I dig out about a 1/4 and put the seed in cover it up and turn on my 400 watt MH spraying the top soil to keep it moist. My seeds generally sprout after about 3-4 days. .

Don't read in to the outdoor indoor crap, some of it holds true but ideally you can grow any thing inside or out. Keep seeds moist in some solid with out too much food in it, as seedlings they need to do things on their own. As much as you'd like to do this and that for her don't just put in some light soilix rootriot cubes, some thing with out a lot of food. Keep her In a warm humid place until she pops her leaflets let her stay in there for about a week keeping it humid slowing inducing fresh air to her. You want to make sure you keep it humid rather then keeping the soil soaked to much water is a bad thing.
