New to the grow

i am brand new to the game. been researching for the past month and will start buying supplies this weekend. i want to start with some local bag weed seeds to see if i can make it happen before i spend the cash on some legit seeds. does anyone think i should just start off with the good stuff and leave the mystery seeds alone?

nah dude, mystery seeds can be something very interesting. I actually grew some bagseed from shwag for my first grow and got some of the stickiest and dankest bud I've ever smoked. You never know if the father that pollenated the female caused some really good properties to stand out in each strain, or if the plant was hermaphrodite cause of seeds, that means you have way higher chances of female. I also did a grow a long time ago from bagseed that failed early on, but it was already COVERED in trichomes even in early veg mode and I guarantee that shit woulda been awesome. Plus, if they die or anything happens while you gain experience, you didn't waste your expensive seeds where you atleast have a general idea of what you're gonna get. I say go for the mystery and use it as a learning process!

How much money have you set aside to do this project.
I would order some seeds, that way you know what your working with.
I would spend 200 dollars and get 20 seeds. Grow one of each type separately, then working out the kinks on the first run you can do the same routine over again, or do each seed type as batches, whatever you want. 200 dollars is how much you would spend on weed anyway. Just look at it as delayed gratification. Keep in mind those 20 seeds can make you a lot more than 200 dollars. worst case scenario. If you get the process down by the 5th set of seeds, u can clone all of them and have yourself a little setup.

thanks for the response gents. I think ill be good to start growing this weekend. Gonna start with the bag seeds like shredder suggested so i can get some xp. Ordered some WW and Kali Mist today...can't wait to start growing those.
