hey everyone, this is my first post on rollitup. i just started growing my first crop. i bought my first lot of seeds off seed city and demon seeds. i have 8 small little plants with their first 4 little leaves. i'm growing outdoors, in my backyard, in a greenhouse. i don't really know what i'm doing but i've been doing a fair bit of research lately. i live in Western Australia and it gets really hot over here and i noticed it was getting pretty hot inside my greenhouse and the plastic that it came with it was getting flimsy and saggy and pretty shitty so what i'm planning on doing is making a new cover for my greenhouse frame but out of shade cloth. i'm just wondering if this would be a better alternative compared to see through shitty quality plastic.
i water my plants once every two days. i have them in 2L pots and the soil i have used is a mix of seedling soil and advanced growing soil with dynamic lifter or whatever that is. i also noticed this morning something has been having a nibble on some of leaves? what kind of stuff can i put on it that won't kill my plants?
i'm also planning on doing a lst grow when they get big enough.
since i have been allowed to grow i have been feeling really satisfied and nice i guess ahah idk but this is kinda like my dream come true.
i'm going into the city tomorrow and i was wondering if there should be anything to put on my shopping list?
i also thought about maybe growing one or two in my room like a stealthy kinda grow or what ever with cfls and fans and stuff. is it worth it? does it speed up the process? will i be wasting my time?
i don't know if anyone will see this or anything but tips, hints and comments would be very much appreciated.

cheers tom :peace::leaf:

firstly, to stop bugs/things eating your crops, copper tape stops slugs and snails, crushed up eggshells dressed over the top of your soil also stops slugs and snails as it acts like razorwire to them. If you start actually having problems with bugs, try diatomaceous earth, very effective.
You wanna either have a door open or get a little one of those passive fan things that spin in the wind, both to get some CO2 in there and to cut temps if it gets real hot. Shade cloth is fine if its what i think it is like the translucent whitish cloth? If so then yeah is probs a good idea if you don't want nosey people/helicopters having a peek at what you're doing.
Pot up to something BIG if you're outside, will make a monstrous difference to yeild! As many gallons of soil in a growbag or pot that you can manage!
umm what else was there oh yeah if its your fist time grow I wouldn't over complicate things by having two different set-ups running at once, get a successful crop under your belt and then branch out!

that's awesome cheers bruh. i was thinking about getting a few small cheap battery operated fans or something. is it necessary at this early stage? if it is how many should i get? i thought those containers might a bit be too small. i will eventually plant them into a bigger container when the roots are more developed and then dig a hole and put the larger container into the ground to control the size of the plant. how many liters do you think would be the best for the last container that will be put into the ground?
yeah i agree with you on having the two set ups i'm just always looking for a project to do or something haha.
