Yes, let her dry out a bit and then look into epsom salt a little... I had the same issue but I also transplanted to outdoor about that stage. So it might have been the lighting but I still think the epsom helped plus I added dolimite to my coposted soil..... hpoe it comes out good for you.

you dont need that much light for vegging, but i'd go to t5s if you can, (the small fluorescent tubes) they have a much better spectrum and are more efficient than t8s. when you go into flower, you're going to need a lot more light than you have now for sure.
for veg growth you can use almost any 10-5-5 type fertilizer as long as you're careful not to use too much, usually its a good idea to start at half strength and work up from there. again, when you hit flower, you're gonna need some good nutes, or the knowledge to make your own, which is an enormous pain in the ass.
and get yourself a cheap ph meter, some plants seem to almost ignore ph fluctuations, and some don't like it at all. make whatever nutes you end up using, then check them, if you're using soil , somewhere around 6.3-6.4. if you're using coco, 5.8 is considered perfect, but i actually intentionally bounce between 5.5-6.0, to prevent lockouts.

a lockout in this context is when your ph gets way off , or you have way too much of one nutrient present, and the plant is then unable to absorb some other nutrients because of it.
most nute companies "chelate" their nutes, which means they mix them with amino acids so they are available over a wider ph range, but it can still happen, usually from over feeding.
by "new growth looks good" he means the problem seems to have at least partially corrected itself. damaged growth will never repair itself, you have to keep an eye on new growth on the plant to see if its showing the same symptoms or seems to be improving
