Your set up sounds righteous and makes things easy.
Hi,
Yea the big plan was to make shit simple and easy for a helper to just water when I got on vacation or something; well ok better room control. This is kinda a hobby. I have another house thats the money maker. So I have to have this as easy as it gets!
For my ventilation I run an 8inch vortec with a Canfan 75 I also have another 8 inch and another Canfan 75 scrubbing the air in the room. I also have another 8 inch and a Canfan 50 that I am not using. If temps get to hot in summer time I will run that as an exhaust. I also have a 20amp AC unit thats 240v, also has a blower on it. Ill use that to keep the room temps down. Right now, its about plus seven outside, Not sure what that is in F. So we range from -5 to +7Celcus. In the summer its about +17 to +35C that's day and night time temps. So at night when its about 17C outside my AC and exhaust will do fine. Up here were I live we usually get 3/4 of the year favorable for growing indoor, not so good for outdoor lol. garden stuff is just fine!!!! Not so cool for sativas and hybreds.
HI
Well the fans are Vortex 8 inch, they move more air than the Canfan 8 inch. I use the Canfan filters tho because they are def superior! The fans are only quit IF you have ducting on both ends of the fan lol. The problem is you can hear the air move in the ducting but thats because of coe-efficient frictions. But thats not a problem, its the dryer sound leaving the shop out the back lol. I pull air from the front. their is no sound. The fan is pretty quit generally. I have two friends that live close beside each other in town houses, they both have 8 inch vortecs and with ducting on both endeds you cannot hear any sounds through the floor. Even when the fan is strapped to the floor the vibration is limited too.
dokebi, Hi,
Thanks for commenting. There is no smell because I create a negative pressure in the grow room. Its very simple, just pull more air out of the shop than any air in. In this set up I choose not to put an Air in because with a good fan pulling air out, the air has to be replaced in the shop, pulling fresh in into the stop from the cracks and around door etc. The Good news is that I do not have to pump cold air in to cool it down. That def helps with smell!
Genuity, right on! feel free to post back for a reminder, I have 24 days left in flower . I will post pics and final weight too! I am def excited, but dreading the trimming- dispite the 'trim pro automatic ' , still gonna take a 8 hour day easy.. Prob two.
