New with a few ?

Hey all i just started growing my first plant a few weeks ago and shes about 6 in tall so far but what i would like to know is it a good idea that im growing it by sun light in a pot with mircal grow potting soil along with the food stick that they have? also it gets coldish in tx at night and im using a reptile heating pad to keep her warm at night im just looking to get some help and i thank all and anyone that helps me out in advanced thx

You CANNOT beat the sun for growing. Nothing man-made even really comes close, so you're good as far as lighting. The Miracle Grow, you'll get a million opinions on, some like it, some hate it. If it works for you, stick with it. As long as the nighttime temps don't dip much below 40 degrees, you should be OK.

You should be ok as long as you follow the basic rules and master them - good soil, light, nutrients, water, and watch out for pest!
