New York Power Diesel - Nirvana - First Grow - First Smoke Report

Alright, its my first grow and therefore my first smoke report so be kind.

Started with 4 NYPD fem from Nirvana (I would recommend to anyone) -

Harvest: 90 days from germination - Trichs just started to become milky in some parts
Yield: (still in cure but easily 8-10 zips)
Flavor: Somewhere in between pine and lemon. Definitely present in a vaporizer, but even more pronounce in a bowl/bong.
Bag appeal: Above average (bigger bite than bark, honestly this stuff looks amazing, but smokes even better than it looks)
High: Surprising. A real creeper. You take one hit and wait ten seconds thinking you got burned with ho hum bud. 30 Seconds go by and holy shit. It is a real high, talkative, laughing with a nice body calming under toe. Not sleepy, just chill. Three-Four good long hits and you start having so pretty trippy shit happening, and start to become a little disconnected from the situation at hand.

I have back pain (from an injury), and a good amount of anxiety. With that in mind, this weed is perfect for a nice focused get me up with a hit or two, or a complete out of body pain relief for more hits than that.

My wife has depression and anxiety - She vapes about .15-.25 grams and that usually ends up being a mistake for her (good for me) and she is off in space half way through the vape.

There are a lot of nirvana haters out there, and I have to say, I see too few grows with this strain, but it rocks. I currently am growing Jock Horror, Wonder Woman, and Snow White. I would still recommend NYPD over them so far. Easy as shit to grow.

It is an interesting concept so far...9 sticks of canna butter, 2 grams of finger/scissor hash and then all of that. Yeah, that should fill the tank for some time.

haha nice man i kinda got screwed by nirvana but they do have a few nice strains that i like growin wonder woman bein one of em and you know if you can get the Black berry kush seeds to germ they its a nice heavy indica strain. The problem was gettin em to germ lol. The wonder womans were cool and so were the blackjacks i bought. Highly reccomend those super indica heavy almost every pheno i got from the ten pack. All grow really easy and like lots of nut's

Nirvana in general is good but theres better stuff out there. Although you have to pay for it. Im happy with my nirvana strains.

nice bro i never really gave Nirvana a chance as ive hit dna and TGA and never turned back i mainly commented to say love the icon i have EVERY episode cept for the lost ones if your interested in any pm me

Got wonder woman baking right now with their jock horror - harvest is slated for 2/15...I keep on hearing that their bubblicious is supposed to be out of this world. I see a lot of people whole are stuck on Soma and Barneys seeds that still hold on to bubblicious from nirvana. I am thinking about getting Super Lemon Haze or Tangerine dream, but also I want to try 3 last strains from nirvana that have come highly recommend: Aurora Indica, Bubblicious, and Full Moon. After I get that out of my system, I'll start beating up attitude. I have to say though, the nirvana provides excellent service. I had one seed not germ and they credited my next purchase to make up the difference. I had germination problems too. I bought a heat mat and a humidity dome, soaked em in water for 24 (after filing them) and tossed them in starting soil (in a solo cup) with the heat and dome. Haven't even come close to losing a seed since them. Perfect every time. The seeds enjoy germing around 82 degrees.

Honestly though, this strain was an absolute joy to grow. I did have a total of 3 male flowers show up on the lower buds, I just germed another lower bud to stop the herm, then ripped off the males and life went on. Good yield for a first harvest if I don't say so myself (I was expecting 4 dead plants the whole time). The taste I just cant get over and the high is out of this world. I was honestly expecting less from nirvana with the way a lot of people talk about them, but this strain is right up there in my book, def a serious strain. I smoke some headband earlier this month, and I have to say I prefer this strain. It starts you out with a real sativa high, and turning into a nice indica mellow after about 2 hours. Nice shit. Can't wait to share the fun after the cure. (looking to go three weeks).

I love that show, it is the best thing about netflix instant streaming now. They are packed with mst3k. I really want to get the movie though, that rocked.

awesome grow. thanks for the smoke report. was debating about growing this one...i think i will now! was it stinky during flower??

Not terrible, actually worse in the end of veg/ beginning of flower somehow.

Also forgot to mention:

4 PLants = 9.79 ounces - again this is my first grow and these were my learning plants so keep that in mind. Exactly a 90 Day grow period.

so man... you really still prefer this strain over the others?? according to nirvana it shouldnt have been the easiest to grow in comparison, and you sure have a short flowering time!! im impressed tho!! you have a great bunch of buds there!! really glad to see someone properly grow and display this strain!!

Its a really good strain, after the cure now, wow. Just wow. Its potentcy is amazing, but more impressive is its taste and smoothness. Few buds are an absolute pleasure to smoke out of a glass bowl as this one is. Flavor galore, def a lavender/citrus after taste that you just sit there smacking your lips about. I love it.

I just harvested some jock horror, and some wonder woman, the Jock is a bit more potent, the wonder women is about the same potency wise, neither have that flavor yet though.

The jock horror was a pain in the ass to grow, but it was worth it looking at the quality, I have harvested 5/10 of the plants, the nect 5 will be cut this week. Pics and shit in the link in my sig.

ya know your really helping me with this info man, im glad to know that about jock, cuz now blackjack is out of the question for me. dude nypd sounds so good, but i bet ill end up with way too tall of plants... im ordering real soon here and want to decide on something to grow next to chrystal. its a hard decision. leaning towards blackberry or snow white.

I got the snow white going, if you are worried about height, learn about Low Stress Training. Grow the plant sideways instead of up.
Great thing to do, keeps my plants real bushy and low. All you need is pipe cleaners. No plant will ever be tall after that, and there is no cutting involved.

Honestly I LST'd the NYPD and most of my plants were 24" tall above the soil, and I pulled well over 2 zips per plant after the cure.
I topped the Jock and Wonder Woman, and got slightly taller plants, but still short (about 2.5 feet - 3 feet).

Mix both and win.
