New Zealand Grower starting winter plants still ages away??

Hey guys. First time grower here, flatmates a apprentice horticultralist. We got given a few seedlings of unknown origin. They all turned out to be females. These have been growing for around 4-5months now i think. We just had our first frost and where i live things are starting to get very cold. It's not uncommon for us to hit under 0degrees celsius at night. I'm wondering if there's any thing we can do or if any one has some advice as to how much longer we can hold out. Here's some pictures of our them taken about half an hour ago.

nice and frosty. They are a hardy plant, mine have suffered thru a cold spring hitting a few nights of 1-3 degrees Celsius. A hard freeze may not take out the buds but would get the leaves. Good luck, hope you get a warm week
