My plant has been a seedling for about 5days now, its about 1 1/2 long and the second set of leaves were just starting to come through (couple of mil long). I had it in a plastic bag to increase condensation, the 1st leaves were startinh to curl up and turn brown so i tuck the plant out yesterday, today the 2nd leaves have started to curl up and go brown. It has plenty of water.

Whats the cause of this and more importantly how do i fix it.

the strain is short rider b.t.w

they were in a pot with 5-6siz holes in the bottom i havnt watered them much, only twice since they have been seedlings coz the compost was still moist

Well if you are using straight compost, than this could be the problem, compost is a little hot for young seedlings. You want something a little more inert.

Sounds like they're burned to me. Get some foxfarm happy frog if its available in your area. Its not very 'hot'. Any gardening store should carry it.

i have some short rider beans i havent germed yet cuz im growin bagseed right now.. i got mine from Nirvana.. is that where you got ur's?? cuz i dont see that strain in 2 many places.. how did they germ for you n take to sprout?? goodluck with em':peace:

ye i got 5fems from nirvana, the germination was quick enoguh, i used two pieces of wet cotton wool with the seed in btween, I kept them in a room with temp 26-28'c. The took 2days to show root them another 2days to sprot up after planting in soil. Next day it was inch long with sencond set of leves coming through. But now there taking a turn for the worst. Hopefully they turn around. Im thinking of germing the other seed on a indoor grow.
