Thanks man, I appreciate it.
Yep, next grow Ill totally have more funds to buy better soil and some perlite, in fact I created my own sort of drainage system.. I got some thick bark and some stones from outside my house and boiled them, then mixed them into the soil. The soil doesn't drain super fast, but it drains faster than normal.
Those peat moss pots made of cow dung... it said on the pack that they would deteriorate after a couple of weeks! I guess they need to constantly be wet or something. I think they provide nitrogen, or something that the plants need. Next time I will definitely cut them up into shreds so that the roots are not restricted for so long!
the soil I have is plain old cheap $3 soil.
heh, just today when i got out of bed, I noticed one of the plants had a bit of a growth spurt and got a little bit of burn..... *sigh* oh well.
With lots of money I could make the perfect grow lab, but on such a small budget its not that easy.
I have 5 lights atm, 4x 6500k 32w cfl's and 1x 2700k 38w tube fluorescent. (over 8k lumens altogether)
The middle plant is getting about 6k lumens and the side plants are probably getting about 5.5k (although micro moles is really where its at, isn't it. whatever the **** that even is, lol)
I was thinking I might add another of the 2700k tube light (with 3k lumens) when the plants show more signs that they're going to be flowering. Depends on the $$$ oh wait wait actually, considering I just got a job.. I think i will do that =) ahahaha, I just hope they don't pay me in 30 days time from now or something like that.
How could i have been so negligent!
Edit, oh and btw.. those little cow dung cups that my plants are in? I forgot to mention that I did cut the bottoms out! .. No way in hell I was going to let the roots just hit the bottom and get stuck in there!
also, I just cut one of them up vertically. i gave it about 5 cuts, then watered the middle of the pot. Hopefully the roots will find there way out through the newly opened gaps.
