Hey all, I’m new to the site and growing. I started germinating 5 WW seeds in Rockwool soaked in ph’d water at 5.5 for 24 hours, then in humidity dome. 6 days later nothing so I assumed I drowned them so I started 5 more soaking them for 24 hours then paper towel method and they all grew taproot so planted in solo cups with ffhf mixed with bout 15% perlite. Then 2 of the ones I put in Rockwool sprouted along with the other 5 so I then placed all 7 of them under two 75w blue & white led’s with temp at 75* and 63-65%RH. The pics aren’t the best but I did what I could with phone camera. A couple of them look odd with one not growing its “first set of leaves” and the other 2 idk wtf is going on and hoping someone can help me out. I see some yellow colored spots, another one of its Cotyledon leaves is really curled up and yellow in the middle. Sry for long post and appreciate any & all feedback! That first pick looks like it still has its helmet - the seed shell. I like to leave them be and shed it on it’s own. If youre brave and careful, you can try removing the shell.

The ones still in rockwool look Nitrogen deficient. Either get them into soil or give them a light feed of grow nutrients, like quarter strength of bottle recommendation.

The ones in soil look normal.

Thanks, is that what those yellow spots are? I thought maybe they were burnt. Actually I just did hit them with a little nutrients and it recommended 5ml per gallon so i used 1.25 ml. Is there a reason that one doesn’t have 1st set of leaves in the Cotyledons?

Could just not be visible yet. Could be a mutant. Too early to tell.
How old is it?

seedling that size shouldnt need nutes yet,can survive first couple weeks with water no problem.
Like I’ve read and heard many times but being a Newb it’s hard to believe that they can go that long without water ya know lol. I go 2 days and it looks dry as hell and I tell myself to just leave em be but I lightly spray the top around the outside

yes you still water it usually small cap of water a day or something, everyones enviroment different and drying times, thats what youv to figure out,but they shouldnt need nutrients yet until the small smooth leaves start to yellow.

Well, went into the tent today and the 2 in Rockwool are dead. At least I know 1 of em for sure and the other is just hanging over so I watered it and I’ll see what happens but I think she’s a gonner.

Did you soak the rockwool in an acidic solution before using it?

Don't lusten to this guy. Lol sorry no offense. Cotyledon are the feeding source.. And feeding nutrient to seedling is bad and it has been proven useless in horticultur class.. I'm an hirticulture with years of experience. Its a seedling. It need 70% humidity in soil constantly so you fill de soiled cup and drench it. Then let be.. Nevermind the caps you'll be watering everyday.. Wait 7 days the water again. In the mean time give it a litle mist once or twice a day jyst a few shot... For the rockwool.. water rockwool is hard enough you just let it be. Could be a little acidic.. Try watering with a ph 6 next time. But just let them be after that.. Compkete drench the no water dont water the rockwool and no spray either it hold water more then you think.. And yes the hard a hard tine but wait 2 more week. And dint feed yet
