Newbie first harvest

Definitely not done. An abundance of fresh white pistils is a very clear sign that the flowers are not mature enough to harvest.

I will get a better photo tonight the ones I took don't show the red hairs like it looks in real...
As a first time grower this year, I say listen to the guys saying wait...I went by the numbers and ruined a really nice blue dream plant. Also, I’ve come to believe the breeders info should include the phrase “from actual flowering”. So, basically, if it says 8 weeks, wait 8 weeks from showing flowers before even evaluating the readiness. Stay the course, and avenge my blue dream, lolz.

You can pull them now, it's all preference. The trichomes usually dictate when to harvest unless you've got a conflicting deadline like moving date or who knows what else can happen in a persons life.

Hello everyone this is my first grow I am 8 weeks into flower do you think it's time to harvest? I read that harvesting to late can hurt the quality and the same with to early this seems to be most tricky part for me as I don't want to hurry it but it so tempting to harvest now..

I feel ya man. I’m having a hard time telling even with a mic. But I’ll wait till I see zero clear. Then wait three days.

I think you bring up a good point because I started flowing these the first of Nov. but the actual flowers really didn't kick off good till Mid Nov so with that than my plants are really at about 8 weeks in full flower not 10 looking at all these charts I think when I see amber Tri's it time to harvest I did crop a smaller bud on lower limb let it dry under a fan and gave it a try and I was very pleased :) this isn't no junk weed for sure and they are saying it could even get better damn I am on board with that!!!

No.

But I like a narcotic high so I like to let them really mature. If you want a lighter high chop sooner. I chop at different times, and a lot of of it's preference. My wife likes the really early stuff. I like them both depending on what effects I want to feel.

My best suggestion though is if you want a more energetic strain get a sativa, or an indica if you like a heavier high. Either way I think it's best to let it fully mature.

Come again every week the answer will always be 2 more weeks :eyesmoke:
That is so funny because that is exactly what I thought the answer would be 2 more weeks... I think I could come back in 6 months and they would still say 2 more weeks LOL. I had already made my mind up though that were not quite ready just was curious what the response would be and it was as expected it's all a learning process for me I think the charts helped the most and there a 1000 opinions on when to harvest...

Lol yeah
Jokes apart tho, it really is a matter of preference. Some will harvest "early" some will harvest "late". As long as your flowers aren't obviously too young, my 2cents is harvest a lil quantity of bud ( just enough for 1 J or 1 bowl ) at different stages ( like every week or 2 ) and dry it and try it out. Then see for yourself what changes and make a decision accordingly. It is also different from strain to strain so you want to do this a couple of times before you have a solid idea of what you preffer. Good luck bro.
