here are my babies....CIMG1835.JPGsuper silver lemon haze...CIMG1833.JPG 3 iced grapefruit...CIMG1840.JPGand my phat fruitty... my girls did 2 weeks and 5 days under t5 flourecent lghts as u can see....CIMG1831.JPG....i felt like they were out growing the t5 lights so i went ahead and placed them under my 2 600 watt air cooled hps lamps....CIMG1846.JPGi went with diamond mylar which i thought was a bargain 1 dollar a sq foot!!! i have a 6" can fan suckin hot air out the room,.. at the same time its cooling the lights , then dispensed out the room. i have 2 low intake fans bringin fresh air into the room like this one here....CIMG1847.JPG... the one in the middle,.. i know its just one... i just had the second one installed today, temperatures in the room reach anywhere from 82 degrees to 84 degrees...i wonder if my day temperature would be a problem.... my night temperatureswould be rights at 78 or 76 degrees f. for the first 2.5 weeks my t5 lights were running 24/7. would it be ok to run my hps lights 24/7 as well for my remainig 5 weeks of vegging.... i am considering 18/6.. i can afford to run this 24/7 would it just be better to leave my lights on 24/7... can one of ya growers help me out, since its my first grow... thanks in advance...

thats my iced grapefruit, i made my own mixture, it was cocco coir, perlite, and some rockwool cubes. its my first time growing. i dk if the yellow spot is cause im spraying too much rizotonic or because im giving them too little nutes, are u a grower???

so i wen back and upgraded air system...and here is how it looks....CIMG1854.JPG 2 low intake fans and a 6" can fan that cools lights as it removes hot air from my grow room....CIMG1865.JPG.... my temperature is steady at...CIMG1866.JPGthats 84 degrees...... my mercury thermometer is reading 78 degrees at plant level, my lights are about 3 ft away from the plant top... the only girl that is worring me is a iced grapefruit its starting to show signs of yellow on the leave tips....CIMG1872.JPG.... not quite shure what the problem is.... my phat fruitty is doing just lovely....CIMG1870.JPG... could my girls be too young for hps lights or is it cool???? my soils ph reads ....CIMG1875.JPGits around7.8 or very close to 8, could this be a problem????.... my 2 600 watt hps lights...CIMG1864.JPG... keep in mind that im a first time grower so i would love some feedback on my pics.... here is where my plants did 2.5 weeks of vegging...CIMG1880.JPG....CIMG1877.JPG... in my opinion i did really good in this atmosphere set up... i have total controll over it, 100% germination so far.........

keep those plants under your T5 until they show sex and your ready to flower in my opinion. youll save money for sure on electricity and in the mean time can figure out how to fix your cooling issue. i would say since your running a coco mix, that your PH is definetly too high. most coco growers shoot for having PH around 5.5 to 6 to get the best nute release in the medium and not to cause any lock outs. coco should always be wet and should not dry out so watering on time is a must. not sure the quality of your coco but some growers will water daily and others will water every other day. its not really possible to over water coco unless you dont have good drainage and the only way to recover in coco from over watering is letting it dry out(not good) or water again to get more O2 to enter the coco. your temp is pretty high but nothing thats outrageous. my suggestion is to reduce all those turns in your ducting cause that makes your fan loose alot of push and pull. try setting the fan up where it is in the grow area sucking the air in the grow room through the hoods and out of the room with the least amount of ducting and turns as possible. then have fans bringing cooler air in from a window or some other place that has cool air. you may need to have some sort of A/C pumping cool air in. CO2 should be the last thing you plan on since all other areas of growing need to be handled before that comes into play.

nice... today i mixed my nuted i went with the recommended ammount 15ml/gal... since i been doing 5ml/gal for 2 weeka already.... check out my light system now.....View attachment 1520465IMAG0020.jpgView attachment 1520469IMAG0019.jpgView attachment 1520471my highest temp with door closed was 86.. i want to drop it a few degrees and plan on ising another 6" fan or perhaps a 4" fan i gave laying around... but just want to use one not both, .... to get best results should i blow fresh air into the room with either fan or should i use it to extract more hot air from inside the closet??....

my ph is around 5.0 or 5.5 whats the correct way to mix nutes and water???? get the ph at 5.5 first then add nutes or add nutes then get the ph levers right???? kinda confused

86 is pretty good for a high but when summer comes that most likely wont be cutting it. not sure what you mean when you say your planning on using another fan but then you say you dont want to use both? you did a good job reducing the ducting for what i can tell around the hoods but what is all the ducting to the box fans you have doing? did you remove the can fan or is that still being used connected to the white ducting? you need both fresh air coming in and hot air being exhausted out. not really an either or case.

i dont think they will need the power of HPS yet since they only on there 3rd or 4th set of leaves. T5s are real good for veg and dont waste as much power especially since you only have a ballast that runs both your 600s at a time. 1200 watts is a bit of over power for those plants right now. feminized seeds can be males, females, or herms in my opinion but some people have good luck and get what they buy. barneys farm is pretty reliable so i would feel safe in betting youll get a few fems from the seeds you got from them. the way fem seeds are made gives me the opinion that they have a good chance of being herms(both male and female). you should be able to get an ounce off each plant for sure as long as you keep them vegging for atleast another couple weeks. some guys do 12/12 from seed and get good results but i would say with your wattage that you can veg them for longer and get more. different strains will have different rates of growths and the shedding happens to all plants from seeds so dont worry about that. the yellowing may have been a PH problem so aim for 6 or 5.5 not much higher or lower. what nutes are you using? hopefully that ratio isnt too much for them right now as they look pretty green to me.

i was thinkin of using just 1 fan either the 6" or the 4" to either bring air into the room or extract air from the room but not sure which set up will gett me to drop a cuple of more degrees i think if i blow more fresh air into the room,... but then again i dk,... what if i go with using my 6" in fan to extract hot air from the room, but what if that dont give me any results,... should i just use it to blow fresh air into the room???? my 2 low outake fans will extract hot air from the room then out the window.... n i do have a ballast to power ,y 2 600 watt hp sodiums.... i think ima vegge for 4 weeks under t5s then take them under my hps for 4 to 6 weeks more... then switch my cycle to 12/12... i am really shooting to harvest a pound of dried buds,... i am also prepared to get an oz of dried buds per plant... i am usind canna a and b, today i fed them 15ml/gal.... i am also spraying them with canna rizotonic i am using 35ml/gal of that and spray the plant only 4 to 5 times a day...

i just want to have 2 box fans inside my closet blowing hot air out so i put 1 on each side of the room i know its too much ductin,... but it seems to work... the hole is already there so i dont want to keep on makin holes....land lord gon be pissed!!!!!....

as for my mixin problem i was fukkin up big time i was gettin my ph levels at 5.5 first then adding nutes...

one of my iced grapefruits is gettin a bit of yellowin on the tips i dont think its a major problem but just a lil worried..... another iced grapefruit is growing relatively small compared with the other 2 it has the same growth as the other ones,.... just a bit smaller... i am really excited....

what nutes should i buy for flowering???? the guy at the grow shop suggested to go with canna bloom,... not quite sure what are the best nutes out there and which are the most appropiate to use in my situation... i made my own dirt mix ,... i went with canna cocco coir, perlite, and rock wool cubes....

i am growing in a closet and tried every way to get the coolest temps and that is using the bigger fan to exhaust the hot air through the light and out. if you have the fan bringing air in across the lights it will get hot and be putting in hot air. if you can, turn around your box fans to bring air in and use the bigger fan to exhaust out. just try everything pretty much! just going from my experience though and that is using the bigger one to cool the light and exhaust hot air at the same time. nutes usually drop the PH so you may have been dropping it pretty low. you may want to stick with canna since many people really support their line. it could be expensive to get the boost and bloom and pk 13/14 though but its worth it according to some. i personally use a formula designed to provide the plant with the essentials and nothing more to waste. only two bottles compared to many that most all other companies suggest. sounds like your hydro guy wants your money in my opinion with out helping out too much. the only thing thats different between your coco and many others is the rockwool which im not sure why you added it but i dont think its too harmful other than holding water and having a different PH.

I put the rockwool cubes in my mix, thinking that they will absorb water, I thought it was gon help me water a bit less. I mixed up all my dirt then I rinsed it with ozarka water. Ph at 5.5, yea I belive sells man are just there to do their job which is to sell shit to u. Mist of them are just focused on makin a sale, dont get me wrong, there are sime coom ass dudes in some hydroshops once in a while... Some will give u usefull tips 70% just want ur money. The other 30% try to help u out abd give u tips cause they would hate to see some ugly ass bud out here in the streets..

hopefully good..... i trimmed my plants today... all the leaves with sets of 3 are gone....plants look good!!!! i think its too soon to top them tho...

most likely they still will grow a singificant amount when they are switched to flower but i cant say how much. topping doesnt necessarily reduce the stretch in flower, its a way to get multiple tops not stop the stretch.
