Newbie growing indoors help!

90EAFA51-2E6E-472B-9F24-F9E12EB189E6.jpeg So I’ve search and searched but I think this is early stage of nitrogen deficiency. I looked at the thread on here but the early stage picture will not show up. I have a sealed grow room running two 300w mars LED lights. The soil is FFOF. Plants have been in it for about 3 1/2- 4 weeks now. I have been feeding them straight ph balance water between 6.3-6.8 PH level. I’m guessing the nitrogen is running out that’s been in the soil? I have fox farm nutrients but I’m fixing to transplant them into 3 gallon smart pots. If it’s nitrogen deficiency would the transplant to fresh soil take care of this or should I just start giving them 1/4 strength nutrients? The plant with the yellowing at the top is the only one like that. Thank you in advance.6F73F50B-8190-4D3F-B9A5-7382754B1D05.jpeg

The one with yellowing at the top is guaranteed to not be a nitrogen deficiency. I have never used your grow medium, so not sure how it affects plants, but nitrogen def starts at the bottom and moves up. As for the 1st pic, with the slight yellowing at the bottom, again, seems more of a mag def than nitrogen. Nitrogen will yellow the entire leaf in a uniform fashion, not with intervenial yellowing.
On another note..i think it's time to transplant :)

Yeah I’m planning on transplanting Friday lol. So I’m guessing since magnesium deficiency I should give them some nutrients? And thank you for your reply.

Again, I have no first hand experience with ffof, from that 1 pic, it appears to be a mag def in the first plant..more pics would help, and without led's on. The one with the yellowing top could be nutrient burn..only basing that on the fact that many say ffof is 'hot' to begin with. See how she responds after transplanting before throwing food at her..less is more :)

Ok sounds good. The first picture is without led on.

Ya..that's a bit easier to see, but it helps to show the entire plant in the pic so both top and bottom are clearly visible. Are you using tap water? As for ph, not that it should be an issue just yet, but going as high as 6.8 may be a touch bit high..i wouldn't recommend going above 6.5.

Yes it’s tap water. I’ll get some better pictures as soon as I can

Hope those are some better pictures for you. Thanks for all your help
Much better pics! 1st pic, it can be a few things, from light burn to a number of deficiencies or toxicities..being im not sure of your medium, I can only guess. 2nd pic is surely nutrient burn..slight clawing and the odd yellowing can either be from the burn, from possibly spilling water on top of the leaves and the light caused a burn because of it, a possibility that she is rootbound or a combination of the 3. 3rd pic is the one I said possible magnesium def..it's a bit hard to tell, again because they do seem to have outgrown their space, I'd fix that first before feeding too much. If you have to..after transplanting, give the 3rd one a half a teaspoon epsom salt to the gallon of water. 4th one looks like a possible nitrogen deficiency, very slight albeit, and maybe magnesium as well, but again...could be a combo of being rootbound as well. All 4 pics seem to show very dry soil. I'd say transplant asap, give a healthy dose of ph'd water, and see how she looks in 3-4 days before next watering to see what can or should be added.

Yes I was supposed to water them today but decided to post on here and see what advice I got before doing anything. The 3rd and 4th picture are of the same plant just the 4th has the flash on when taking the picture. I will transplant tomorrow and give ph water and see what happens. Thank you for your help and I will upload if anything changes before 3 or 4 days

Sounds good. Ya, the 4th pic shows the bottom better than the 3rd one:) Its not often I read that people are missing nitrogen in ffof so early on, its why I was doubting that it's nitrogen...2nd pic shows a slight nitrogen toxicity, which is more common with younger plants in ffof from what I have seen. Being they are too big for their containers, the cup will dry up fast..and as it does, even if you have the nutrients in your medium, they have no water to transport them to the leaves. See how re potting them works out..it'll take a couple das, but by the time next watering comes around in 3-4 days, you can be more sure what to add if anything. Try to keep the watering ph around 6.3 to max 6.5 for now. Above that is not that great, especially for micros to get through..though that would likely become more visible in flower.

In your opinion what would be a better medium for my next grow. I’m new to growing indoors. I’ve never had these kinds of problems outdoors

There is nothing wrong with your medium..ffof is quite popular, I would have got it as well, except it's not available in Canada. Though people advise to be careful with it on young plants as the soil can be too hot for them. If it's a new bag and first time using it..I've read some people that don't even feed them in veg as the soil has plenty in it. I personally use pro-mix..the organic herb and vegetable one..been using the same bag for almost 2 years now..im changing it this spring as im having some issues with it as well now...had about 15 or so plants that grew in them.

i think your plants are just ready to be up-potted but the last one could be a sign of over watering for that particular plant, there is usually one that doesn't like the same watering schedule as everyone else. don't do anything yet until you up-pot and see how the girls react. good luck with your grow and welcome to RIU!

This plant is only 3 weeks old..... isn’t that young for even an auto flower?
Oh, i didnt realize it was an autoflower! In that case, you should pot them in their final place at the start, they're not crazy about being transplanted..the shock of it and delay it creates are days lost to growing. Plus, they don't like much food, the ones ive grown anyway lol. Auto's, generally will start preflowering in the 4th week..though it can vary..my 3 now are barely flowering in week 8 lol.
