I just successfully germinated three seeds in two days. I planted 2 of them in one pot and one seed in another pot. Yesturday I gave them light from 10:30am-2:30pm and from 10pm-12pm. During this I use a spraybottle filled with room-tempreature poland spring water to keep the soil moist. The light I used was a 60 watt lightbulb approxamatly 6 inches from soil. Today, one of the seeds popped up out of the soil and its seed shell fell off while it was under the light. I have a few questions.

- How far away should the light be from the soil?
- Are my plants growing fast? ( It is only a few centimeters tall with 2 tiny leaves bearily separated)
- Am I doing everything correct so far?
- How tall should the plant be before it can survive being planted outside?

If anyone could answer these it would be greatly appreciated!

what type of light are u using?

fluoro's should be kept 2"-4" away from the top of the plant (i keep mine no closer than 4")

plants seem to be growin well..not too fast, not too slow

u seem to be doing everything ok. what type of soil are u using? and remember not to feed nutes until the cotyledons turn yellow.

U can plant outside when you see 5 or 7 bladed fan leafs any shorter and you will see a lot of stretching

I am using a regular 60 watt white lightbulb. lol it has doubled in size since yesturday and the other 2 seeds are breaking the surface of the soil.

you can grow with regular lights... They have to be florecent.. CFLS or The long florecent tubes..

Hi greencrackk.

You should go out and grab some CFL lights, that 60W incandescent bulb you are using
will 1. burn the plants if you putting it close and 2. is totally useless for growing.

I can suggest you first take a read of the GrowFAQ before anything.

Good luck, hope you get things sorted and have a good grow.

Post some pics when you get going.
