NEWBIE Help

im new to this site and i havent started to grow anything yet but i am tryin 2 prepare for a grow, seeds are easy to come across but they will probably be regular, Can regular bud seeds turn into better bud if grown right? and i would like to ask someone that really knows what their doing if they could provide me with a list of things i will need lights,soil, etc. the cheap but good working shit i will need to grow thanks

Yeah, you need to specify a budget. I was trying to economize but I've spent at least $1500 so far.

my budget is about lets say..........300-400$
and im probably gonna make a grow box outta sumthin or maybe put them in my closet any good suggestions?

Somebody posted this link for an HPS light on another thread. If you can get it mounted in your grow area, I think it would be a good light for that budget:

I think a DWC (Deep Water Culture) system would be good too. There are lots of instructions on building them on this site.

You should go with CFLs, for your first time its good to start with instead of going out and spending say $1500.

what is a CFL? and what type of growbox shuld i use to grow with cfls?

compact fluorescent lights, there's a whole subcategory for them in indoor growing.
CFL Growing

he's right cfl's are good for a tight budget, i actually had the same budget starting out maybe even less lol. i started out with 42 w cfl's for the veg cycle and i stuck with cfl's for the flowering process cause i didn't have to buy a ballast or special reflector i just switched to a (much) higher wattage which still costed less than paying for one hps bulb and a ballast, i get my bulbs from buylighting.com
i have 3 ladies
my list was:
4, 42 w cfl's (for veg)
miracle gro (non organic) soil
distilled water .80 cent
timer $5.00
(12" deep) potters
small 4-6" desk or floor fan
and of course a closet
and thats it for now

and later on for the flowering
i bought 4 105w cfl's
dr.hornby's liquid big bud
a 15x magnifying glass

other than that just remember not to use fert until they are 3-4 weeks old and always use a 20-20-20 formula for the veg cycle

and since its your first time i urge you greatly to go to greenmanspage.com and read 'Ten biggest mistakes marijuana growers Make' under troubleshooting it really really helped me
