Hey everyone I have a plant who will be done flowering in about 2 weeks, but I’ve run into the issue where I don’t think I have 2 weeks. I’ve noticed some white mildew around the soil and saw the roots are showing signs of root rot (very very early signs) so before it spreads to the entire plant is it okay to harvest early? Or will that mess it up? I’ve added some pictures. I just need to act quick or it won’t make it.
P.S she smells great

Well, in all honesty, you are a longgggg way from harvest. The white 'mildew' in the soil could very well be favorable bacteria or enzymes that occur naturally with healthy soil. Im not seeing any health issues from this plant, but you need to be patient, as this plant is weeks away, more than 2 for sure, but thats just my opinion. Im sure others will agree.

I think we can all agree that does not look like it will be done in 2 weeks

Possibly give me an idea because I truly believed she’d be done by Halloween

Harvesting now will not get you anything. Plant looks ok, just need to let it do its thing.

How can you tell the roots are rotten?

Just keep doing what your doing. Plant looks fine. Unless you just trimmed 50 dead leafs off before the pics.

But it looks like probably 4 weeks to go

Purely going off of a lot of what I’m told and see online. I super new first grow and she’s super small lolol. But besides that do you have any advice that could help me?
Yes. Advice: PATIENCE!!! For some reason it seems to be extremely difficult for beginners (and often veterans) to wait until the plant is done. Realistically, you want to throw all that timeline crap out the window... the plant will tell you when shes done. It will be at the end of the life cycle of the plant, the leaves will turn yellow, the pistils will all turn brown, the colors will change and the buds will lose the 'glassy' clear trike look and get duller with the cloudy.
It is way too easy to harvest early and so very difficult to harvest late. I am not trying to discourage you, believe me, but once you let a grow finish to completion, you will never be the same. in the final weeks your buds will double in size and triple in potency. Dont make the mistake of harvesting just because she looks pretty. You want her to look nearly finished with her life cycle.
You probably wont heed my advice this time, if you are really that new, but one day you will look back on this post and realize you learned what it took so many years to figure out on their own.
Now you know, and the rest is in your hands.

Alright I will keep pushing for 4 weeks
The roots have a bad brown slime to certain roots and the white mildew pointed it out and made me check

I appreciate the advice please keep an eye out for my post I think he coming weeks because I’m sure I’ll keep asking if she’s done or not .
Thank you again. I’m definitely gonna wait because I wanna learn the most I can off this grow and patience is the main thing I need.

Don't overwater her, even near harvest. Roots go bad because of saturated soil. Leave a healthy drying out period between waterings, and the roots will be fine.
As mentioned above....have patience.

Hey I have this outdoor Gorilla Glue plant and I have been carefully monitoring it under a USB microscope. Today is October 15th. What do you think, is this plant ready to harvest?

I should mention, I am located about 25 miles west of Boston. It looks like we won't get any colder than around 36 F over the next 10 nights. That's my main worry - frost damage. It is supposed to get down as low as 36. Would it be worth creating a kind of frame and covering it with tarps? It is very tall, about 8' tall.
