Newbie Hydro grow

My first grow. Started about week and a half ago using rapid rooter plugs. Will post photos as I progress.

utilizing 400w Metal Halide for Veg
1000w HPS will be used for flowering.
General Hydro Waterfarm.
GH Nutes to be used.

First question. - How can I tell when seedlings are ready to move into waterfarm? I currently have two sets of leaves and about 4 inches talls.

I'd wait until the roots are fully established and coming out of the bottom of the plugs

Same here, usually takes me no more than 2 weeks from sprout and I'm using a similar ebb & flow setup.

Has soon has the plant has got a good set of first leaves on then this is a sign hat you can use more intence lighting.I not sure if i'm reading this one wrong or what but my read is that the plants are all ready under a metal halide light if so then the plants will be used of the heat and should thrive.Up the nutreints and the plants will do fine all you realy need to do is make sure that the lights are no higher than 6/7 ince of the tops.By haveing the lights this close you will get nice tight internodes whitch inturn will give the grower you a far better yeild.
