those two bottom leafs always die off there the first from seed, hence there funny shape, as for the bug problem, i use half a pint of cider burried in the dirt to catch slugs and caterpillars they love the stuff. not to sure what that funny leaf patter is but i get it when transplanting or flushing, usually clears up as the plant settles into its new home.

A pic of the whole plant would help and I don't see any deficiency stuff going on.

I'd cut off that lower growth so there's not so much greenery that close to the ground and maybe get some Tanglefoot from a garden center to put around the main stem and keep critters from crawling up into the leaves.

If you do find little caterpillars on your plants get some Safer's BTK biological insecticide. It's a bacteria that causes holes in the 'pillars guts so they die a painful death just as they deserve. If you see little white butterflies around your garden those aren't butterflies they're moths that lay eggs on plants that become caterpillars when they hatch.. Mostly go after things like califlower, broccoli but also other plants like pot. Safe as hell and not very expensive.

Good luck!

All in all your plant looks fine .. What I see is slug or insect damage.. Go and check your plant at different times. Slugs usually attack in the evening and till the a.m. before the sun starts blasting.. Grasshoppers are basically all thie time in my parts and slugs.. For slug prevention US a copper wire and make a large ring out of it and place it around your plant on the suffice of the soil... Slugs won't cross it. Or put down used coffee grounds .. Slugs hate Sharpe stuff and normally stay off.. If it's grasshoppers or catapillars/ worms . spray neem on the plant.. All kinds of critters dislike neem.. Or use safer incecticidal soap like o.p. stated earlier.. Good look with your grow and touch back with us if you discover the cause..
