Hey
Mh4l, good luck with your grow. A couple of helpful pointers (and I am no expert by any means)--
1. Get that fluorescent tube closer, to within 1 inch of the top of the seedlings (plants). For now make sure the tube is the highest
wattage tube that will fit your bracket setup, and it (the tube) is the "Cool White" type. Now keep in mind that
1 tube like that (a 4 ft. ?) will most likely grow only two plants to maturity (BUDS!!) from what I see from your pictures. When you decide to flower, 12/12 light/dark cycle, you should get a fluorescent tube that is of the "Warm White" type.
2. Your temp. is fine (though I would not let it get below 65 degrees or above 85 degrees). A good temp. range is between 70 and 80 degrees.
3. As of this point in your grow the fan you have should be just causing a "slight breeze" over the leaves. More or less the fan is needed to (a) keep fresh air circulating and (b) keep temp. down. Later on in your grow you can increase the "breeze" as you want to make the stems thick and strong (simulating wind). I see nothing wrong with having a fan on all the time. Just make sure the humidity stays around 50 to 60 percent and the soil does not dry out too much. And
4. If you already know this, then just disregard
Once again--good luck with the grow and I'll be watching.-----------------------------------------------------------------Oh, and my first grow is now in week 4 and I will start posting pics next week. Stay tuned.
bwinn, great post on your nutrient cycle and which ones you use. Later, Hoss--
