Newbie led grower

Hi

Been looking around this website since I was little ,first post ever
I'm knowledgeable although my led intellect needs some work

I wanted to ask are LEDS yield comparable watt for watt against HPS ?
If so what is the average from your own views if you have experience ?

And which LEDs should I get for this purpose ?
Iive in the UK if this helps
Also do LEDs require extraction or Is passive just fine?
Or should you just judge it by yourself ?

Can't be bothered with the hassle of HPS atm

Any help or side.by side comparisons would really help

Member since 09 and you haven’t came up with your own thoughts after reading for 10 years. There’s literally a thousand posts like this to check out and get an answer.

I just wanted an opinion on more up to date grows using more common.led systems.

I've tried looking for the answers but can't seem to find them lol

HPS is better yeilders but LED's have a trade off such as less heat, light pollution and electricity and no frequently changing bulbs.
