Nice start...

What size pots are they going into? Will you train / top them? How large do you plan to let them get?

Okay. Cool. Any particular reason for choosing those ones? Are they better in some way than the others?

Wow! you're growing trees then :) Sweet! I'm subbed.

just a suggestion, but maybe consider topping them a few times. You'll get a nice manageable plant with lots of tops. Just snip it at 3rd or fourth node.

The 3500 has something to do with efficiency... Growmau5 mentioned it once. under 3500 they are less efficient in some scientific way.

Also, 3500 is a nice color temperature for veg and flower. HPS is in the 2000-3000 color range. I forget the exact number.

Ah interesting.

As this is my grow, I definitely don't know exactly what I'm doing so I'm not sure if (6) * 9 gallon pots can even fit in a 4'x4' tent, but if they can, I think I'm gonna go with that. And if not, then 6 gallons will do after the 3 gallon.

I guess it just depends on how long you plan to veg and how large you want plants to be. 5 gallons (using soil) would seem pretty adequate for most purposes... I use 3 gallons.. No problems.. sort of end up with nice manageable plants. I think you have higher aspirations than me though :) This is a 3x3

Haha honestly these are just my "plans" and we all know how plans change

In that first pic, are those all 3 gals in a 3'x3'? Yeah idk maybe 6 gals will be good enough? I was planning on veging like 6-7 weeks (including time as seedling) and flowering for like 8-10 weeks and curing for 0-2? Haven't researched much about curing yet. If 9 gals would mean I'd have to add another month compared to 6 gals, then I'm not sure I'd wanna do that? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

3500k is the color temperature of those LEDs. This is closer to red than blue. Blue is better for vegging, red is better for flowering. If using for both I think you did the right thing by going with the 3500k.

Yes, those are 3 gallons in a 3x3 tent. Except the little bratty auto in the center. My poor autos.. I abuse them :) They seem to get nothn but 12/12 :)

I felt that 4 3 gallons in the 3x3 with 6 weeks veg was pretty good. Mostly filled the tent...

Yea, plenty of time to read about the cure. It's not a big deal... Low and slow, like good bbq. Just hope you don't get really warm and dry weather that week :) Your buds will dry really fast and you end up with hay.. Still smokes fine though..

I think I have just overwatered them this morning.. :) at least one (NLH 1) I left alone. We will see. I think/hope it will be ok.

End of Week 6 from Seed

NLH1 (first on the left), has been having problems but it still seems to be growing... Topped all 3 NLH right before this picture.

AK1 looking phenomenal! Freshly topped for a second time. Could not top AK2 or AK3 yet, but soon it will be safe to do so.

Btw you may notice... they are not stretching too much -- espcially the sativas on the left. Any advice?
