Newbie looking for help

Hello, im from Denmark, im am just getting started to growing, so am looking for some maybe Quick Answers to my questions. Hope you have the time to help.

1) when i plant the seedlings, how Much light should i use.? And should i use the full setup from the start with the air outlet and so on.? I have A digital ballast, up to 600w, and mininum 300w, should i go with the 300w? Or a cfl instead? And how long before i Can crank it up to 600w in veg phase ?

2) the guides says 18-24 hours light until flowering, but whats your experience with seedlings? And in veg?

I heard from reading around.. 600w Hps light
16/8 or some growers go 24/0
I'm doing my first grow all cfls..
Throw in some fans 70-80deg (~34 humidity not sure on number)
& water when 2" of soil dry by putting Ur finger

My advice YOUTUBE IS A BEAST.

I'll give you my opinions on your questions, others may have their preferences

1) as baby seedlings, I use 23 watt CFL, then add more bulbs as they get bigger ...when about 3 weeks old, I use my 600 watt HPS (you can start 300 watts for a few days then increase in steps)

2) I start them at 24/0 for about a week, then switch to 20/4 or 18/6 or 16/8....advantages to each, no proof which is best

i say yes, run air past them but really lightly so they don't fall over, they will be fragile. seedlings can get fried easily with hid lighting so maybe some cfls until you get going. if you don't want to run the cfls then yes, just turn the light down to half power or minimum and run it like three feet from the plant at least.

Okay. I just want the best option, if its cfl, or t5, or whatever... I Think i have the rest figured out, but that part with seedlings, and lightning just puzzled me. Thanks

Cfl or T5 both work very similar so whatever you can afford. Hell I use 2 T8 shop lights for the first couple weeks and they grow fine.
