Newbie needs desperate help, no buds!! (Update)

No offense but I got on sliphon for it and it is honestly more because not even a month ago he was barely able to keep his plants alive posting in every single forum section about the same problems and now he seems to think he is some hotshot grower. I gave the threads author advice and he seemed alright with it and didn't seem to have any problem with me.

Sorry, but like everyone has said, you need more light on that plant. You said your plant has been on 12/12 for 8 weeks... but, when exactly did budding begin to show? I.E. I flipped my lights to 12/12 and it took almost 2 weeks for my plants to show sex. So even though my plants have been on 12/12 for 8 weeks, they've only been budding for 6 weeks....

And I think someone mentioned this, but what about putting your plant outside? What is the weather like where you live, temps, precipitation, humidity? You live and you learn...I would definitely apply the knowledge you gained here on your next grow. Best of Luck!

keep em allive ? nahh I had a few isues with Ca/Mg .. thats about it .. look it up ..
and posting in evry single thread about it ? dont think so .. must be mistakeing me with somebody els ?

and no .. I dont think Im a hotshot .. fare from .. not even in RL. Im a down to eart kind a guy ..

but I did never try to grow a plant under a single CLF .. I did my research fist .. and got myself 6 tube T5HO and a 600W HPS ..

I have no problems with you or your buds .. good luck .. with that ..

I just dont get why some Ppl. dont use commen sens and logic .. and your case would be a school examples to show others .. that all ..

but I guess thats what made you jump up like a clown in a box ..

ah sorry. I misunderstood the direction the thread went and who exactly you were ripping on . but I DO take personally the mention of "dropout", I happen to be one and spelling isn't a problem.

Thanks for the helpful insight, this was an experiment to see what I could do with the bare minimum, I spent 5$ total for this whole thing(which was for the nickbag), I appreciate everyones input, I start work next week, once I get my first check Im grabbing everything I need! question though: if I wanted to grow 3 sativa dominant plants in a small closet, how much light would I need, and how much would it cost?

With cfl you can get awesome dense bud you just got to get like 5 25w bulbs per plant and you'll get the sam as hid, check sirsly420 on youtube he proved that cfl's can produce quality bud.
But this kid definetely got everythin wrong.

thts the problem wth cfls takes a shit load to grow good bud been there done tht hid and hps is the way to go ! i had 8 42wts 2 68 wts and a 125 mini lotus to much crap to many fixtures my 400hps blows the cfl system i had away ! waste of money wht you would have to spend in cfls to get decent bud will more than pay for a good hps hid light 400 cost me $180 rope ratchets 55'000 lumen bulb and timer free shipping from growace !

totaly agee .. CLFs are for seedlings .. can be used in Veg (I would in your case as you allready had em .. that way you can make nice veg plants ready for your HPS and cut grow time by a month .. but that will of course need some space and more power aso.)


tho I do see one other option .. if you etc. have high Temps and would have real problems running a HPS or for some other reason dont want to run big HPS in your house .. and you dont need to grow more then enough for yourself and space/money wont be a problem ...

then a nice big T5HO fixture could do the job .. Im not saying you get near a HPS .. but if you get evry thing els spot on .. maybe do hydro/DWG and you use commen sens and logic and grow them to fit Tubes ..etc.. SoG or LST .. Im pretty sure you can get results that come close to a nub with a big HPS and high temps and if space and money is plenty you can just get two fixtures and grow 8 plants insted of 4 etc.

all I say is that it is possible to grow buds that are smokeble with out a HPS .. it all depense on what you expect and need ..
