Newbie Needs Help, "Stranger Danger"

So i have read through much of the site and i still don't know, ow i raise my status? As in what it says under my name, "STRANGER" it reminds me of those "STRANGER DANGER" videos i saw in school when i was little. It just sounds so ominous 8) Is it a certain number of posts i must make. If so i don't understand, "It is a wise man who listens more often then he speaks" Not that i would know. But if thats how it works then at last i have found paradise. A place where I'm rewarded for not shutting up, I'm home.

It's the number of posts. Check out the little box of stats to your right. The more posts the higher your 'status'. Really though, it can say Mr.Ganja up there in red, but it's the rep points that really mean something as far as status goes. Check out FDD's rep points or Bud Bat's, and see what I mean.

Sorry Earthly passions maybe I'm not so good with the forums and such. Where do i even see a persons rep? i pulled up "public profile" but i dont see it. Thank you for your help and your patience.

It's the last bar in the stats square. If you look at mine you'll see a little gray square with a '+' in it. This is because I have no rep. I am a newb, I just post a lot because I like to communicate and help.

See the Blue Scales icon on the top bar of my text box? That's the button you click, (and others click) to give someone rep points when they've made a good contribution or done something impressive.

In my opinion it's a much better indicator of your 'status' in this community. Because it really depends on everyone's opinion of you and your accomplishments.

Wow how many posts do i have to make till it says homosexual transvestite under my name, mama always wanted a child with a lengthy title. But my damn brother the executive vice president in charge of orally regurgitating bovine excrement always gets all the glory.:spew:
