Newbie Questions

My soil is not drying out. It is staying damp. Is this a concern? What should I do?

I used plain potting soil.

I have germinated the seeds and planted them in pots. They have broken through the.ground and things seem to be going pretty well other than the soil issue.

Any help is very appreciated.

Patience till the seedlings develop you may not need watering for weeks depending on pot size
