Problems like bugs, larvae. Problems like overwatering/underwatering. Soil hardens and cracks when it dries. etc
Yes what I dont like is when the power goes out what happens. I like soil if power goes out my girls still live
yeaht but what if your flower room loses power..then YOUR fucked

hey ass hole yeah you ass hole. I have 4 different rooms . and a dwc system would not work in any of them. would be impossible to change water or to use water in 3 rooms. and now its so much more easy. so ill have to buy 3 more dehumidifiers . and 3 more ac systems. . and now if you have a lot of plants good luck supporting them . ( your a total dick head ) I would put my grow soil grow vs your dwc system any time for quality and smoke ability. if you new what the fuck you talking about an you don't because your just an as hole. you would know soil grows taste better then dwc . every body this guy that posted , im fucking his wife because he cant get his dick hard and its very small his wife told me .

Agree thanx for your service.
What gets me is how many people take out their frustrations at the government and its policies on people in the military.
They don't make the policies, they're just doing their job.

My original post still holds true. The method is simply a matter of preference.

Any "probems" anyone encounters with any grow medium is not a problem with the medium itself but instead user error/ignorance.

If using a hydro system, a well prepared grower doesn't need to worry about power outages. A soil grower that can keep a healthy root system a can lift a pot should never have to worry about overwatering.

Out of the top ten growers I know the medium of choice is all across the board and all have excellent results and their grow suits their lifestyle needs.

I personally am looking at switching from soil to promix. In my opinion it seems like the best of both worlds.

I like hygrohybrids garden. 1 plant dwc, one light , 1 pound+ harvest.

When I grow in DWC I get 2x the growth rate than soil.
Stop using 5 gallon dwc buckets for flowering. That's for noobs.
Use a Brute trashcan 28 or 40 gallons. Use strong airpumps with many airstones. Use great white.

I agree everyone's growing style is different.
What I look for is.
1)low plant count 2)fastest growth. 3)clean 4)heavy yield

Edit:
dannyboy you can easily set up a battery backup for your airpump. It's 6 watts. I can't remember the last time my power went out for an extended amount of time.

5 gallon bucket $11 air pump one 6" air stone, tap water. That's great for a noobie dwc. You will get noobie dwc results. Noobies usually don't use mycorrhizae/beneficials cal/mg in dwc.

Now try flowering in a dwc in a 28 gallon brute trashcan with a strong air pump(15L+) with 4 large airstones. I brew my own tea and add a few cups with every time I change the reservoir.(foliar spray in veg up to first week in flower.

I don't see how people can be serious dwc grower using 5 gallon buckets. During flowering my plants drink 2 gallons of water per day.

Back in the day I connected 5 gallon buckets to a controller bucket. But that was too much work.

If soil is your preferred growing medium no one is telling you to stop.
If you have never tried DWC winter is a great time to start.
