Newbie to dwc nd a little help!

I'm new to water,I've been growing soil for 3 years. Just wanted to try Dwc always wanted to learn so here we go! My ladie is looking pretty good,bud is growing pretty slow! week 5! I'm giving here floranova 1 part at 5 ml per gallon. I also add some hydroguard at 2 ml a gallon, plus a little rock resonator at 4 ml a gallon. I think I need a bud additive other then rock resonator, like big bud or something. I've grown this strain many times before and in soil its rock solid buds. Any suggestions would be appreciated! One more thing should I top my res. Every time it goes below a couple liters? 5 gallon bucket ,top feeding,2 air rocks.

Keep it as full as possible. Rock is for flower, i can't tell if that what you mean bu the post. Im kinda lost for the questions. Maybe make a grow journal so we know what youve fed it so far. Sounds like its aces so far though

Should I add whatever nutrients she drank back in the res. Or wait till I change my res. To add more nutrients?

Res change every week. Otherwise replace and watch. May we assume you have a good EC/PPM meter for this? If not I strongly suggest you buy one. I used Bud Candy on DWC because it was all I could buy in AK. I would add your bud feed.

I just picked up two ppm meters one of them tells the temps in the water just in case! Thanks hotroharley! "Keep it green"

yes you should keep the bucket at full I check ✔ mine once a week usually on Monday nights, (i like to keep my plants on a very tight schedule just like 1 night a week I use 1 extra hour of light to do my pruning feeding etc..etc.. but i do it all same time every week and turn it on for that time period every week reguardless if it needs any types maintenance or not) check your bucket and top off with however much is needed then test your water and add nutrients as needed to level everything to a respectable level then leave until next week when you repeat this cycle

5ml per gallon sounds like you are using full strength. I would DEFINENTLY cut those figures in half at the very least. I personally use a quarter strength with my RDWC setup.

Im running Dinafem Blue OG as well. Mine looks a bit healthier but similar bud progress. Not sure how long she has been out there if I had to guess 4-5weeks. Im under a 600w. What do you use?

I would add some of the bud booster until week 6/7 (8 at most for more sativa strains) then see where your buds are. If they're 50/50 amber hairs to white hairs then its usually close to harvest. You'll notice a second boost or growth in the final weeks of flowering. They tend to really swell up nicely, so don't pick too soon!

600w but running digital ballast at 75% 475w over that one blue og due to heat issues I'm trying to fix,first time I do water. I prefer growing in soil! But I'm liking it Dwc!

This is my Blue OG about day 30-35 from flip. Its the one to the left in the picture. She is getting about 1.0-1.1EC. I could probably go up, its dropping feed quickly. I grew this strain before and never got as good of results as this run. This one smells like straight blueberry pie. Its fantastic. My only beef is I didn't clone it as I remember the other run being meh.

I wanna keep doing Dwc, its awesome,first run wasn't the best but I learned a lot!

I was using Heavy 16. I started out on Ionic 1 part with calmag plus. Then moved onto Dynagro. Then Heavy 16. Then GH Flora.

Didn't like them much. I just bought some dry nutes. Less than $100 for 5700 gallons of nutrient solution.

I like ionic,its what I vegged with but didn't have ionic bloom. When I went to the hydro store, I explained that I was new to Dwc so he told me to start with ionic grow and I asked him if I needed anything else besides the ionic grow and he suggested I should buy ionic bloom when i get to bloom,don't spend my money on ionic bloom yet,He's also a friend, but I think he didn't think I was gonna make it to bloom. Lol. good stuff!
