newbie to this

k so right now im in the planning stage.
and i was wondering
what lights and what kind of fan i would need to use.
im planning on making a grow box about the size of 3 x 3 x 3 or so just something i can keep tucked away in a closet. im not planning on growing a lot just 2-3 plants at a time just enough to keep me and my friend covered.
so what type of light and fan would i need? could i get away with just a heat lamp or something like that sence im not trying to grow much? and what kind of fan would i need could i use like a mini personal fan again due to the low amount i wish to grow? if now what should i go out and buy? all help is much appreciated.

first of all people on this site hate it when a stranger wonders in and asks question that can easly be obtained on growing info , me however dont really care..... ok heat lamps are shit dont even bother, i need fluros 6500k kind. and u can buy small fans at your local shops , when your grow is setup and the temps are to high either get a biger fan or find a way to get fresh air in

a 250 watt hps with a good reflecter would suit you for that area man and make sure to get a good fan...what seeds you gonna grow.........

I agree, the a 250 watt HPS would be your best bet for your location... Be prepared though, it will get HOT!! Not as hot as say a 500w or 1000w hps, but it will still get HOT... Make sure you have proper ventilation.. A "mini personal fan" is probably not going to cut it...

You need a fan sucking hot air out from the top of the box (exhaust)

You also need a fan blowing in fresh, cooler air from the bottom (intake)

It is also recommended that you get an oscelating fan, which may be a bit of a tight fit in your case, to support good stem strength...

I was able to install both the intake and exhuast VIA duct fans and a small piece of ducting... pretty cheap and simple... Read through some of the FAQ's on here, they really are helpful...
