First timer here. Will be using tent and T5 for veg. Maybe HPS or T5 for flowering. Small grow, a couple of plants.
Here is my issue: tent will be in house. 2 possible locations.
1. Spare bedroom. Nice even temp same as home. Problem is air will be vented back into the room. Do the carbon filters really eliminate all odor? I could install dryer vent in wall but don't really want to start cutting into structure.
2. Possible second location is the huge add on closet off master bedroom. It's plus is the washer/dryer are located there and I'd imagine I could find some type of Y connector to vent out through the dryer vent! Odor solved ! Problem is the closet is poorly insulated so in summer can get to say 80-82 and in winter the high 60's.
I imagine the T5 will warm it up a bit in winter but my bigger concern is summer. i do not want to A/C the closet but thinking a small fan in the tent could help.
I may be getting to anal about the temps as i have read there is an "optimal" temp but in nature wild plants have done fine for years.
Any ideas are appreciated.
As an aside I last smoked weed 30 years ago. back than I had no clue about Indica vs Sative. it was just pot. Some smokes we got couch lock a feeling i did not like. Other times the weed gave us a nice rush but had energy (Sativa?)
So last night I had the opportunity to smoke pot again. I asked if it was sativa or indica and I got the what the Fuck look. Anyway got a nice buzz but not stoned to the point of being immobile. Guess I'm a Sativa type guy. Cannot wait !
