Is it just me or does alaskan fish fertilizer sound very un hydro friendly?
No, buy the fox farm line. Use ocean forrest soil. feed at half strength..ph your nutrients...Well i have never grown a plant before so I'm just a little lost on what nutrients to get? Lol in the flowering stage do i stop giving it nutrients?
Ok so that stuff says right on it that its made with fish. This guys doing hydro......You can use the nutes you ordered for the veg stage. They do make a bloom formula that is available through HomeDepot. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Alaska-1-Gal-0-10-10-Morbloom-Fertilizer-100099252/202817757
And... I'm also a noob, and I'm also using a fish based fertiliser (in a top watered perlite/vermiculite 'hydro' setup) - is there a problem with that?Ok so that stuff says right on it that its made with fish. This guys doing hydro......
Alaskan fish fertilizer is that stuff they sell at cvs in the summer..it's always next to that elinors v something shit.I don't really know but someone at 420 mag said this:
"I would'nt use Alaska nutes for hydro. It will turn into a nasty toxic mess that you dont want to deal with. It will be one of the foulest concoctions you have ever encountered. A sewer would be Club Med compared to a rez full of sour fish emulsion. Plus it will more than likely kill your plants when it goes sour in a day or two.
Go with a good line like the General Hydro trio, Dutch Master, H&G and others and keep the Alaska in your soil garden."
This guys plan is to do bubble buckets. Organic food will eventually kill the plants. It will rot the roots and the plant will start dieing from the bottom up or the top down, i cant remember but ive seen it before. The rule of thumb for hydro is to use synthetic fertilizer for your hydro set up. Mostly clear or lightly tinted fertilizer. If its black and looks like molasses your probably going to kill everything within three - five weeks. Unless your a pro and run all those bennies and wild shit with chillers and teas. Anyway, might be worth looking into to see if your doomed.And...
