I'm also growing my own shit for the first time after my wife nagging me to grow my own stash because she got tired of me bitching about the count from the local chronic man plus I'm retired and got all the time in the world to do some growing.

I've been on a couple sites and asked a few questions and it took 4 days for a response, here, I asked a question and got a response in minutes and hasen't stopped yet...I love it! Keep it coming.
Love the knowlege and the different topics are just awsome. They have Polotics which is right up my alley, the knowledge is awesome!

Excellent place to learn, but don't forget reading books,( That's what I tell my fucked up step son to do, but all he say's is fuck you, just give me some herb, or I'll tell). Seriously, good place to be, but get some Cervantes to fill in the gaps. Good luck and welcome.

Btw what are you growing mate?
Strain...setup...?
northern lights, AK 47 and some blueberry shit wifey wants to smell she got me the seeds from Herbie's. She doesn't smoke but she read it smells good. All autos for now, just what I need to get me some experience growing. Starting with cfl's but will upgrade to a 2' x 6 bulb t5 (used) for $42 on Amazon that I ordered.

Haha bro got ya... i knew you would love the diy stuff and you do bigtime.

Dont think autos are faster or easier to grow compared to photoperiod strains.
the best way to get a constant supply of bud is to run a photoperiod motherplant under your plenty of t5 on 18-6 or 24-0.
I use to go the bonsai way for my motherplants. From time to time as they get to tall for a bonsaimom I just replace it with a fresh rooted cutting of herself.
you can keep moms very small bro.
you can still take plenty of cuttings about every 2-3 weeks.

If you want some fruity stuff like berrysmell and taste I can recommend pakistan chitral kush from cannabiogen the purple phenos are known for a intense berry flavour. You can even smell it when you rub the stem in early veg.
if you decide to buy the regular non feminized version you can make your own seeds and never have to buy seeds again if you dont want.
Just select your best female and use a male that is special if you have the choice not the first and not the last. If you dont have the choice take what you have. Its a stable pure landrace indica and will provide you with stable offspring with not too much of variation.
growing and making your own seeds is such a great hobby I just love it mate

Peace

Thank you bro, I'll look into that strain you recommend, I do have interest in making my own seeds but not right now let me get some grows under my belt first then look into making seeds. I'm sure its great.

I did produce my first seeds at my very first grow because seeds became illegal the same year. So I had a good supply for the time after that until seedresellers popped up everywhere.

Breeders are not close to godlike or something its a absolutly natural process brol. When you do it with a truebreeding pure landrace like PCK chances are great for a good product. Its a bit about timing pollination but thats it.

You will love it because its your own work mate.
