Newbie

I had exactly the same colors developing in my plants when I was running in DWC. Turned out that my PH was well out of whack. I have since transported to peat substrate, recallobrated my ph meter, flushed them with PH corrected water and gave them a lower doses of nutrients on the next feed. I also added a little CalGel. Took about 10 days until I saw that the new leaves were growing nice colors again, although the old leaves still showed the same problems.

Remember i am a newbie. I don't give it anything but light and water. It is in fox farms ocean forest. Are you saying the soil may be too hot?
We are all learning everyday!

But yes, FFOF has a reputation for being "hot". Its recommended to mix some perlite with the soil. 1:3 ratio has worked perfect for me.

Keep an eye on new growth.

You testing Ph? You should just for assurance, even tho FFOF has a ph buffer.

Thank you. I will follow your suggestions. I test the ph of the water when i water it. I use distilled. Keep the ph between 6-7.

Distilled water doesn't have any trace elements in it. That could be the cause of problem. If you're not giving any nutrients right now, then perhaps a light feed may do the trick.

I also have no experience growing with LED lights, maybe someone else can chime in.

Please tell me if bottled water is ok, or Brita filtered water. In a temporary rental house that has well water and it has no salt water tank.

LED is known for needing extra cal/mag.
A light foilar spray, before lights off, with 1/4 strength diluted cal/mag might do the trick.

You will want to invest in some nutes. They are too pretty to deprive them

Peace

Maybe poke around in the LED forum, http://rollitup.org/f/led-and-other-lighting.124/ and ask about nutes there instead of taking my suggestion, but I would get some calmag and add it to your watering.. I also hear that for some reason, LED grown plants need it more... just food for thought... but they look good for your first run at it, I am sure you will become addicted like the rest of us and this WILL be your new hobby.. happy growing..

 That's an understatement. What started off as a hobby has turned into a passion :weed:

I had to look that up. I now know its calcium and magnesium. I will get it tonight. I hope this works and I can try different strains for my hobby. Thank you and i will let you know how it is working.

Hey everybody,
I received my CalMag today. My new growth looks great. More lower leaves are turning brown and dry. So i want to make a foilar spray but unsure how much CalMag and how much water to use. Should I remove dead looking leaves? I guess i need to buy nutes? More than CalMag? Thank you.

New growth is certainly looking healthy.
1ml. Cal/mag to a Liter of water would be okay. Make sure to do this before lights out so you don't burn leaves with water droplets. Unless using fluorescent lighting, should be fine.
If it is time for watering you would prolly be okay with just adding it to your water.

Yes, more nutrients will help ALOT. Without them, you will most likely be back with other symptoms. There are alot of choices and opinions. I personally use Advanced Nutrients, not saying they are best, just works for me. Good luck!

Oh, removing bottom leaves? This is also debatable. If it bothers you, take them off. If not, they will fall off on their own.
On second thought, I would leave them on for a couple days to monitor recovery.

Peace

OMG... There are so many products from Advanced Nutrients. You mean Jungle Juice?

grow micro bloom is a good base.
If you can spring for the hobbiest bundle, as well, that would be awesome.( voodoo juice, b52, big bud, overdrive). They have very small bottles that will last a few grows.
