Newb's CFL Grow

Hi, update. Things still looking good on start of day 4 for flowering and new feeding.

Fire Og: Got rid of the last of the nasty leaves today. Shes looking pretty sad.


JV86 A: Looking pretty well, all things considered. Maybe my saving grace on this grow.


JV86 B: Getting some roots showing now that should hit the water soon, see what that does for her.

Blue Dream: Think it broke the surface a month ago.


cleaned up some of the reflective material, back and side walls not finished in these pictures, getting a piece to cover my lid tomorrow. Also cleaned up lid and walls after all these pics were taken.

I am. Got some of that soft wire tie stuff and some scrog net stuff. waiting on them to get a couple inches taller for the net and did some lst last night around midnight.

Nothing much to update. Did a little lst with the soft tie stuff and watered the blue dream with res water yesterday. Start day 7 pictures.

Hi. Update for today. Start of day 9. Did a water change today following the feeding sugested on the xnutrients website via their calculator then added silica, hygrowzyme, super thrive, bleech and h2o2. Didn't bother to check ppm's, (base was 100 ppm's made from 15 gallons r/o and 5 gallons tap, used 17 gallons pH is 5.9).

Thought I'd throw a picture of this guy up. Since being removed form the grow box it has been chewed on by my dog and dug up by some little dude running around here doing his thing. I think it has been outside for somewhere around 2 weeks.


Bought some micro nutrients and got the Tiger Bloom for free. I figured it would be bad karma if I didn't use it, so I used it for a foliar spray, 1-2 drops in a little spray bottle.


Found a little spider cruising around on the mmj plants. Seems like a good life to me.

Blue Dream: got some new soil and watering today, (first watering with no nutes).

Update, start of day 10 flower.Did a little lst, super cropping, pushing down and removing some fan leaves for tops to get light, as well as some lolly pipping to all 3 plants and fimed the blue dream. Took a couple pics where the JV86's were putting up a cluster of pistols but they have bad focus. The fire OG has one location(node?) with very small pistols starting to come out. Hope its still a female.

Forgot to raise my res this water change. Can't get the light as close as I'd like due to the reflective material curving in on top of the res and the light only being a half an inch smaller than the grow room. The light is maybe 2.5-3 inches from the plants now when it should be half an inch.

Update, day 11 flower. When it rains it pours. Just spotted some powdery mildew on all 3 of the plants, just a little bat scattered throughout. Removed any of the bigger spots and then drenched the plants in milk+ water. Fingers crossed.

No mildew pics?

I wish. Got a few cameras and none takes decent macro pics it seems. The mildew is just new, only very/pretty small spots. It rained here yesterday, maybe the cause? Considering getting a big bag of rice and throwing it in there, not sure if it will help humidity though.

P.S. All the above pictures were taken prior to me removing some of the leaves with more PM on them and prior to the spraying as well, just so you can get an idea of how little PM there was.

P.P.S. I am assuming it is PM, checked some pics online etc. and it seemed just like it to me, and milk is supposed to be good for the plant anyways from my understanding, so I went for it.

Iamindoorso no experience to speak on with rain just seems not enough bud formation to mold yet but like i said never been an outdoor man

Edit how did you get mold indoors day 11 flower do you live on a swamp?

I am indoors too. In a shed though. So its like a controlled environment sitting inside an uncontrolled environment. More or less.

Thanks for the offer, I got some stuff at the store today, plus, you know as long as you hold onto that bottle you will not get pm, and the second you give it away you will get pm. Again, thanks for the offer.


Update, start of day 12 of flowering. Sprayed with neem oil today though there was no pm to be seen.


Blue Dream got a new home. Yet to show gender. Guess I should take a look.

Hi, Update. Still no more pm showing up, sprayed everything down with a light h2o2 anyways. Anyone has any cheap ideas to lower humidity, I'm all ears, as well as any other ways to improve my grow set up. Thanks.

Fire OG: Started showing sex again finally.


JV86 A: All the roots are looking better, best seen in the roots here. I think its a result of the 29% h2o2 and bleach.


JV86 B: Though I had a picture of it.


Took the plexi off as temps are starting to get low. Got a little heater to throw in there when they drop more. And just put a heater in the res set to 68 F.

Hi, update. As seen in the first picture, removing the plexi glass greatly improved humidity. Common sense to some/most I'm sure. Also got a fan control, love it. Much more pleasant when tending the garden.


Fire OG: Bad picture on the roots, but they are really shooting out now. If I can keep them happy, well, that would be swell.

P.S. Any residue you see on the leaves is most likely silica or milk. I pretty sure I got the majority of the milk off yesterday with the neem oil + silica spray as it was pretty heavy. Gonna do last spray (just r/o water) and cleaning for pm tomorrow with water change, then hope for the best.
