Lookin good eggo. Growth will really start to take off soon now that the roots are coming out. I'm growing AK47 too right now. I'm a little over a month into flowering in soil, these russian girls really know how to sparkle

I do have some questions in the meantime...
- How early is it feasible to notice pre-flowers?? I have been noticing little things at the nodes for a while now, just didnt want to mention...
- When should I top/fim? I read stuff talking about 6 true sets of leaves... well Fox is working on her 6th now, should I really top that small???
- These seeds came from a hermie (again, not sure who's the daddy) my friend who I got them from said they should most likley be female because... is this true? I've heard so many things..??

Yes bro in answer to topping, top them and after 6 nodes and clone them! Dont go topping ur palnts without good roots in the tub first of all. Give it another week!
By topping u are forcing ur plants to branch out and create more stems for colas to reside on. U can actually top after 3 nodes and expect 2 main stems see what im saying. The more nodes u wait for the more stems and nuggies on top! If i had the hieght and light requirements i would wait to top after 12 nodes. The reason i top at 6 is cuz my final veg hieght is 12 inches. By time i top i continue to veg until 12 but the 6 node usually comes around 6-7 inches.And u can easily expect about 2 zips this way per plant.
Bro onto other things! Ur going to need to + rep me to make up for the neg rep lol! Not that i care about reps honestly,props are better! But ive got big things going and feeling like thats gonna throw some bad karma on me.LMFAO going to blaze now.

Okay.. now I have more questions:
I though 'topping' meant you only get two (2) colas at the top, but you're getting 2 stems with all sorta of extra branches and nugs? Then why would you wait til more nodes. with less grow time after? I'm so confused... :-/
What's a 'zip'?

These seeds are a hermie, I thought this meant good chance of females, but I have read all different things online... are there any likelihood's??

Dude, for the topping, imagine instead of growing straight up like a regular plant, it becomes Y-shaped. By removing the top budsite and leaves around it, much more light will get to the lower branches. The more light a branch receives the bigger and stronger it gets.
Zip is an oz.
I think you have to rep 30 people before you can rep the same person again.
I've seen people get preflowers (signs of sex) as early as 20 days so you may very well have some. Let's see em.
I'm not sure about hermie seeds being male or female. I know they use hermies to make feminised seeds but I don't know that that's all there is to it.

DL, how tall to yours get at harvest with your method?? I may just top at 12" also...

I dont think ur lil plants have presex they are not even out of training braws mines we atlest 3 wks old and very bushy ready for the red light but i wouldent give it to them hold off u just to into the veg stage

If u dont see a lime bubble sorta see through wen in the light growing from the node its just a new branch growing out i think ur looking at the new veg growth not presex just yet

It should be a leaf then a node between the node is a fat lil lime see through bubble looks like a ring sorta but not its not a presexing flower its just node growth

Day 31/16:
For the love of Pete! Still not a lot of growth.. hard to tell, but I'm getting a new set of leaves every 2-3 days or so...
I'm getting embarrassed to put pics up anymore. ugh.
I forgot to take a pic of 'THE root' out of the bottom, but it has only grown about 1-2cms over the past day or two... double ugh.
I tried to get in close with the digicam (instead of my iphone) to show the things at the nodes (presex or new branch growth?) but not sure how much luck I had. But that is moot also, because I tore the whole house apart looking for the connector cord...
I'm depressed.

Leggo get 2 y splitters and 4 42 watt 65k cfls from home depot put them 3 inches above the tops. That hps should be fine but have had diferent strains respond better to just 65k cfls in veg, thats all im currently running in my veg room actually.

Two more questions:
I can not find anything that says 6500k at Lowes or Home Depot... I found a couple that do say 'daylight' but not in big wattages... where else could I look. My grow shop says they dont have any CFLs that fit in a household socket.
Also, I leave the door to my closet open much of the day (while I home) to ventilate well. Could I be letting too much light out??
