Next grow, Seedsman Genetics, Tent upgrades

Okie dokie first grow was a little disastorous, but educational, rookie mistake after rookie mistake, still yeilded nearly a QP of meds which im still pretty chuffed with.

Purchased some real genetics oppose to fucking with bag seeds this time. First question. Placed an order with Seedsman nearly a week ago, recieved an email no more than half hour later to say payment was verified but order has not progressed passed the point of "in transit to local shipping depot" is this normal for them?

Will throw up some pics of the tent upgrades when i get around to putting it all together, ill also document my first auto grow on this thread when these seeds show up. (Not ranked enough to move outa newbie central yet)

Id just run one easy strain and repeat till its all good - Jack Herer was an easy one for me i often have it thesedays here and there

Plan is to start autoflowers in the tent, 1 grow cycle should take me up untill or close too outdoor season, hopefully i may get a month to kickstart some photos in the tent before taking them outdoors then back to autos. Tent is a small space not a big operation so not keen on wasting too many photo beans in their just yet.

Tent still the 800mm x 800mm x 1.8m, same overpowered 600w mh & mag ballast, new rope ratchet straps to make light adjustments easier. New humidity and temp controllers, 6L humidifier, tent fan and heater ill pick up tuesday, only thing left to procure for now will be a carbon filter. Lights are running on an 18/6 and are raised to the roof atm to promote a little bit of stretch this week then will drop too the 3 ft mark when their out of the seedling stage.

Cant forget those seedsman genetics, 2 auto Gelato's + 2 auto Zkittles.

Seeds were germed last week went in the soil friday morning so coming up on 3 days in the dirt, 1 seedling is an inch tall and dropped the seed the other 3 seeds are sitting right on the surface hopefully lifted for a photo in the morning.

For now temps are consistently between 25-28°c, humidity 55-65%

I just placed 6 Seedsman Auto Zkittles in dirt yesterday. They all germinated with the towel method, we will see what happens.

Post a link if youre keeping a journal, will be keen to see a real time comparison given my limited experience.

No plans on a journal,but maybe since its my first grow. I too am interested in a comparison, I will keep you posted.

It was packed away for about 5 months should have seen the whole thing before i put it back in shape haha will suss in a few hrs when i get home.

Day 4 since germ.

Sooo 1 of each seed sprung up almost straight away, the gelato i think may have dropped its shell prematurely because the membrane was still stuck on it and as id watched it for the past 36hrs patiently today i interviened and gave a little scrape and she started to open up straight away. Slight yellowing of the cotyl leaves not sure if thats due to being restricted or being premature, not too bothered though.

The other one of each seed is a bit weirdthe seeds themselves pushed up to the surface but have yet to grow out of the soil, contemplation on scrapping and starting germ on another couple.... thoughts/ideas?

As of right now 4 out of 6 sprouted and looking good.

I’d give her a couple more days before helping... I think it could just be the case of some seeds grow at different rates

I already sussed before i left for work, shifted a little soil with some tweezers, 2 tap roots looked blackened, ditched em popped a couple more seeds in the soil no germ if the pop they pop if they dont they dont. 2 plants is probably decent enough for that grow space anyways.

Seedsman is not a breeder. It’s a seedbank that buys and sells in bulk. Or they repackage to sell to people who don’t know better. Auto Zkittles for example. Fast Buds the breeder.

Just so you know. Like Greybeard out of Colorado. Except he buys his in bulk from Seedsman and repacks in small numbers as Greybeards.

People praise Greybeard genetics too. Bet he loves it. No work involved and gets credit for breeding top shelf shit. I know for a fact he does this. His name is Mike and he told me where his seeds come from.

Yeah i realised their from diff breeders, confusing but considering i have multiple strains in the order and was unsure on what id be running when i posted i tried to dumb it down.

Chillin like a villan catching up on game of thrones and the power surges, sat for 2mins fucked off that i had to reset my modem and reconnect everythig then snapped when i remembered im growing meds in the tent. Turns out the surge was my bulb blowing, quickly got em on the window sill while i changed the setup back to the 130w cfl. Their now about 4inches off the 130w but being seedlings 2x 9 days from sprout and 1x 1 day from sprout this shouldnt affect things too bad should it? Shops dont open for an hour and hopefully can get it fixed by days end.

Try smaller pots for germination

Nice selection. I just got myself a couple of Seedsman too. I got GelatOG Photoperiod and got 2 Critical Purple Kush free. I'll subscribe to the thread.
