NFT question

im just about to try my first grow in hydroponics. in a NFT system. its something ive never tried before. but i understand the plants grow bigger and faster. but my question is if i veg for a month. before i put them into flower. is it worth bending the plants side ways. or pinching the tops out to get a better yield. many thanks for any reply's

Sure, all of that will help. I use a net and bend/twist some branches into it. I fim the really tall ones in veg and I veg a month max in my system or they get too big.

thank you very much my friend for the reply. ive got a 2m tent so i was just worried about the height if they just started to get to tall. at the moment i got the plants in 3 inch rock wool cubes with roots just starting to show out of the bottoms. the tallest being about 1 ft high and ive not put them in the tanks yet. so maybe they be about 2ft with the tanks when i do. but thank you very much for the reply.

just hand watering for Now until ready too put auto pot on

You ever try NFT in the Aeroflos? Pretty stress free, short veg times and great yields. I can’t compare it to coco though, I haven’t tried that yet.

mustgro im going to be trying this next time around. its much quicker to get started rather than waiting for the 3 inch rock wool cubes to fill with roots.

Iv started too use easyplug/block
Better quicker rooting than rockwool
Done seed straight into plug damp
3 days into the block,every one looked healthy
Done 2 seeds using rockwool few discovered leaves,easyblock rooted through 7 days quicker than rockwool

I usually post some stuff to this thread if you’re interested in the Aeroflo’s or just hydro/aero/NFT in general. Not much in it yet, feel free to add your stuff if you want to.

I've done several successful grows with the Stinkbud NFT system. If - *IF* everything works throughout the whole cycle, then you're golden; it's super sweet; but *IF* your pump or timer craps out on you, or if your PH rises, or nutrients lock up, you're screwed. I've gone to a super simple "Kratky method"; it doesn't require a pump, or even a timer if they're in veg and you want to run 24/7. When you flip them you'll need a timer.
