I was wondering how you guys feed your seedlings up until the feeding schedule starts? I usually use Dr root and tap water up until the end of week 2 week three I feed it half strength the seedling feed and then week four I start the schedule. I have some seedling's and I just ran out of Dr root. I'm also running out of ez tea veg. I'm wondering about buying the nectar microbes Pluto and Apollo, does anybody know anything about them? I can't find any info on the ingredients, is there anything different in them than photo Plus and the ez teas I'm wondering if I should just stick with them.
the way it was explained to me is that one is a nitrogen fixer and the other potassI’m fixer …stick to the ez teas …
seedling when put in dirt , Bigfoot granules, dr root in hole then water in big foot concentrate, then start a seedling feed at 1/4 strength … add a little dr root to each feed till established…

So if I do decide to go with the nectar microbes you only use them once in veg and twice in bloom so that raises another question, what do you do on tea days? Someone just sent me the ingredients and it looks like they have a nice variety of different microbes in them,
no idea …. Lol

Just got these AC Infinity 11" supplemental UVA LM301H light bars. They're pretty cool they're magnetic and have a metal strip and you can attach them to the walls anywhere in your tent with the magnet you put the metal strip on the outside of the tent and the magnet sticks to it. I may try using them in flower or something. I know if you're using them for supplemental lighting in flower for terpenes and cannabinoids you're not supposed to leave them on all day only for a couple hours I'll have to read up on it. These things are solid I'm happy with them they match all my other AC Infinity stuff. Plus I got them for free in a contest.

Interesting! I’m not seeing those uva bars on their site. I want free stuff, what platform do they do contests on?

do they have suggestions on distance and how long to run them? The more I learn about diodes in grow lights the more I realize how little I fully understand. So many factors at play.

The HLG UVA bar is designed for running at 12 hrs at the distance you normally would hang a HLG fixture. These look like they are made to run closer to the plant. They may draw less watt per diode allowing you to get closer and maintain 12 hours. I’m just speculating here though. Good chance I’m wrong.

Nice that I am on the right track the only thing that I do that you didn't say is I usually put someone shot in the hole.

Yeah man there's a lot of factors with these and humidity VPD play a huge part And how high you should hang your grow lights. It's weird too I feel like The plants do better When the temperature is 80 to 85 under these grow lights.

Things are coming along I'm wondering if I should just throw a 4 by 8 scrog net over the whole tent. I'll probably add another light in here soon. What do you guys think ? I bet I would get great results but I've never done it before.

with LEDs the reason why your seeing there doing better at 80-85 temps is because of leaf temps , since there is no IR in LEDs, unlike cmh , hps , mh bulbs has IR , that’s why you can run in the mid 70s with those lights .

There is some IR diodes in my lights I don't know if The HID have more or what. So should I shoot for A higher temperature like 80 to 85゚ instead of 75 to 80゚? Also oh I replaced my ez tea veg buuuit I also got the nectar microbes. I've heard a couple good things so I'll give Them a shot.Screenshot_20221119-115814_Chrome.jpg

You can use one of those thermal gun/lasers to get the leaf surface temp. Usually the leaf temp with be 2-3 degrees below ambient temps. So if you run your room at 83F then your leaf temp in theory will be 81F.

I'm currently holding my temps around 84F. It seems like 82-83F is pretty common for people with LEDs.

How you guys liking NFTG microbes? I can’t find much info on it but I don’t have social media so I tend to miss out on some stuff.

My nectar microbes will be in the mail tomorrow And tomorrow is also tea day on some plants so I will let you know. I didn't know that about the leaf temperature either I figured it would be The ambient temperature so that makes perfect sense. I was wondering why my control with the temperature probe has a leaf temperature offset lol now I know why.

So I started the four little plants a little early so they're definitely going to be over vegged probably 10 weeks of veg instead of eight. It is kind of a small Hardy strain but I'm wondering what style of training I can do that will let me keep them in a 3X3 for that long if that's even possible. I was thinking about trying to do a few different types of manifolds. Any suggestions. I did buy a couple 4x4 scrog nets for my 4x8 tent the plants are already very short and squat so I may not actually do a scrog but may use them just as trellis nets to support the buds I usually have them falling all over.

I'm probably going to have to throw another light in this 4x8 tent huh? I have three bar style LED lights that are 300 watts a piece and each one has two plants under it so I have six plants in their total. So 900 watts total over six plants and my plants are probably going to make a complete 4x8 canopy.

topping and topping with LST . But if they’re really short then don’t bother ….

I was wondering if using this scragnet while doing foliar feeds would be bad? I feel like the elastic would absorb the moisture and stay wet and may cause problems so I would have to abandon foliar feeding BK if so. What you guys think?
