Nirvana AK48, small first grow*advice for beginner needed*

Hi all!

I wanted to document this grow as this is my first time indoors and could use some tips/pointers of what I could be doing better. I'm just getting my feet wet here.

Tent: 3'X1.7'X2.5' I plan to LST my two plants
Grow medium: organic seed starter mix(switching to ffoc @ transplant)
Light: 4X2foot mixed spectrum T5 bulbs
Ferts: ff big bloom(started feeding 1/2 strength)
ff grow big
ff tiger bloom

Ventilation: 1 6" inline fan with carbon scrubber for flower

The above pics were day 8, Both seem to be doing well with their new ferts..

It's hard not to overwater as that is my gut instinct..giving one good water per day just to wet the soil good and to keep her searching a bit for more ..

Temps are ranging from 70-76 degrees F with a small fan blowing directly at the plants/bottom of light

I was surprised to see the temp with my tent closed climbed to 87!! I need to fix this as I've been leaving the tent open to keep them cool but now I'm sleeping in my living room:roll:

Not the first time I've been displaced by a lady:mrgreen:

I'll update every few days

always interested in nirvana grows, very cost effective genetics
one suggestion, feeding not needed yet, no harm seen but it's very easy to burn tiny plants like these
i've not used FF soils yet, but there should be plenty of nutrition for a bit

they look great . I've grown Nirvana's norther lights and about to finish their master kush. no complains.
they love ff soil

I've got preflowers all over...planning to do the switch on the 16th if this transplant goes well. Here is my runt. I can't wait to train this one after the transplant...leaves are sooo compactP04-10-14_14-51.jpg

Thanks Dabolili. This is the first time I've used Ocean Forest...it really is great stuff. Kind of cool to tear open the bag and see actual shells and bones

Today was a very bad day for the runtish indica. The transpant was friggin messy...sooo many roots snapped by me gimping it


The transplant on the bigger one went well after I changed my technique a bit...but both are looking very sad a half hour after the carnage. Anyone have any tips on how to minimize damage from the bad transplant?P04-12-14_12-17.jpg

you just have to leave them alone for now . not much you can do after transplanting . however , you can soak up the pot before transplanting to reduce shock and keep the root ball intact. Did you transplant dry ?

I transplanted right when they needed water...not really dry..I tried to time it right

Things look much better now, hardly any drooping at all.

Whats up everyone? Everything is going well here. So I made the switch 3 days ago. I mounted my fan outside of the tent pulling on the interior carbon scrubber. My temps are cool now.. never exceeding 80 and always with a nice breeze from the three fans I have mounted. I went all out and bought the entire FoxFarm line(currently making little cocktails that they have loved so far) These nutes should last me a good long while just growing for myselfP04-19-14_18-31.jpg

I gave up on lsting them. The timing was never right for me to start yanking and bending..between the timing of the nutes and that shocking transplant it was too much for a beginner to decide imo. I've got ties galore in case I need to tame them..just going to have some popcorn buds which is just fine by meP04-19-14_22-45.jpg

Time for an update..Day 25 of flower

Boy did they ever take off, I've got them tied down and hopefully all but done with stretch because I am out of room!
