Nirvana - Blue Mystic -> Distinct difference in plants. pics incl. Please advise.

I am sure if these are determined to be unique to the other, Nirvana will properly manage it with me.


Ok, so I had 5 Blue mystic Seeds. 2 of the seeds were germinated (one died). After 9 days I germinated another Blue Mystic and now have 2 seeds left over.

Seen attached is one of the two I initially germinated and the one I did 9 days later.

I see rather distinct differences in the two.

please advise.

they look fine to me.. did you give them snf nutes after a week and half 2 weeks after they sprout. i just order blue mystic from nirvana... let you know how mine go if i get mine.

Tho i luv some of the smoke from Nirvana, BM included. They are cheap for a reason, unstability with them will never change. Ive done 5 strains of Nirv. I might of had 2 phenos that were the same. Good smoke, horrible stability, we get what we pay for:(

I've grown blue mystic a few times. The smoke seems to be pretty consistant across the different phenotypes, but you will see dramatic differences in growth and yeilds between plants. I recomend you take clones of each, and grow your next crop from the best of the clones. If that's too much work, don't worry about it, they all seem to end up with about the same potency and taste.

You know what...I've been wondering the same thing!! It says that BM is a indica dominant strain and every pic I see of peeps growing Nirvana BM show a plant with fat fingered leaves...well my BM plant has the skinniest leaves I have ever seen on any weed I've ever grown!! I waqs wondering if its possible that they sent me the wrong seeds! The plant I have does not lok anything like an indica dominant strain. It looks more like an oldschool strain of weed you know like a spider looking plant or something like that. So I was wondering if there is anybody else out there that has any BM plants with really really skinny fingered leaves or if this is even possible to have on an indica dominant strain of Blue mystic?? Or am I not even growing BM from nirvana even though I ordered it directly from Nirvana??? Please someone tell me why my BM looks WAY different than every other persons BMystic photos??:confused:

Assuming you've got enough light on the plant and it isn't super tall, Id put it down to phenotype variation. Grow it, smoke it, and let us know if it's the must have pheno. I smoked some BM last night: it's a decent mellow indica type high. If yours is way different then Id bet Nirvana screwed up.

Seeds aren't like clones, so each will become a unique plant so could have small variations...smell, taste, , tighter veins, tri-tops, etc... That may account for the difference in veining of the leaves on your plants. On the other hand, I've grown clones only for a number of years. Clones ARE an exact copy of its "parent"plant, so while you wouldn't expect to see variations, I've occasionally had one show leaves just like those on the left...with closer veining, almost harder looking. Not sure what causes it and in my garden it does seem like the plant is weaker in the end. I wouldn't do anything harsh though....grow it out it could be the best of the two.

hey brother!! I have the same thoughts as you!! my plant of BM grew onto a 5 ft monster but the bud and leaves look nothing like an indica! I also thought I had an oldschol spider leaf plant of some sort...I still dont know if nirvana sent me the right stuff?? I'm a bit relived to hear that you also have a plant that looks like this. During the streach I though she would never stop growing! It grew like over an inch a day I think she even grew like 5 inches in 24 hours!! My buds look like they are all hair and barely any bud bud she looks like she is going to produce alot of weight which is a relief..

Damn I just quoted my own reply!! duh...I though someone else might have had the same experience but then I read the reply about nirvana possibly screwing up! But if they screwed up...what could I possibly have in my garden?? What strain do they sell that looks like my plant?

Here's a bit of an update.

Growing 2 x Blue Mystics now. One is in my AeroGarden, the other in Soil.

Both have been flowering for 13 days now.. Looking Sweet!!!

Budding plants are a Macro Photographers dream..

It's wierd that they all look somewhat different..

Here's my 2 ladies; one in the AG the other in Soil.
Both vegged for over 1 month.
13 days into Flowering

(These 2 pics are older, much more growth since.. I'll update when I get home from the office)

Can't wait!!!! I must have taken over 1,000 photos of those two plants.. lol...

Gonna need to get a new camera for my next grow!
