I mean how are police forces in illegal states going to get information from a seed bank in a legal state even if that seed bank did get busted? I agree it hasn’t happened, in recent years anyway, yet servers can store a startling amount of data for a shockingly long time. I’m not convinced that most of these seed banks know what the fuck they’re doing with a computer, so I’m definitely not convinced that their security is up to par. Most IT professionals probably don’t know all of the data that is being stored on their own servers, much less some seed slingers (or the present site). If the feds seized some databases from those places it would be trivial to mine it and do a massive sweep...or if they want to find an excuse to jack up a particular individual, easy. I have no doubt that the surveillance machine has lots of such data already, it just isn’t being exercised, mostly for the reasons you outlined. I think it’s a mistake to think that it will never happen. The unthinkable happens all the time.

I actually do remember but I also remember the whole thing didn't cut the mustard in a court of law. I believe the deciding case was an elder lady in I think Iowa that had ordered indoor equipment and the local cops raided her house. I believe she sued and won and it was ruled unconstitutional. Illegal search and seizure, that's why I said the law needs those controlled purchases or else they can't make a case that sticks to anyone with a lawyer.

I'm sure a lot of lower level growers got busted in that operation and did time but they also most likely got caught with drugs or money at the time of bust or in a controlled buy by a informant.

Trust me, I know plenty dumb asses that got busted but it was a lot more from their lifestyles of wanting to be "gangstas" or tough guys showing off their money than it was their ordering seeds from another state.
