Nirvana Short Rider Feminized Autoflower CFL Grow-Log

Planted March 2nd. Germinated March 4th. First day of Flowering on 24/0 light cycle, March 21st, 17 days in. Switched to 20/4 light cycle today.

I will update until harvest. If you click on the pictures they will be full-size. Not too bad of quality for taking them with my phone.

I have a genetically defective Short Rider going right now as well.

It stopped growing at one set of nodes which means there will not even be a main cola. There were four single leaves that never even fully produced themselves but this lady is STILL a beast. I will post pictures all the way to harvest. I imagine it will look like a big letter "U" when it is finished, lol.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Nirvana sent me a free pack of SR AF's for the defect, I suggest that you tell them about your issues as well. I also sent my pictures to them and AJ Grobbelaar is the one in charge of my case at Nirvana. He has been great and so has the customer service (I have been using them for 3 years now.) After getting home from work today, I believe that my "genetic freak" is growing two main colas instead of one. This is actually beginning to get quite interesting. I like the idea of two main colas, in all honesty, lol. I will be doing 4 short riders starting next week at once as well as my ak-48 when it gets here. I like the autoflowering after growing just straight feminized for a few years now. I will post new pics in the morning as I will be everyday until they are done.​

just got my free seeds in the mail today. i'm going to grow all 5 instead of just 4...

anyone know the phenomena with the defective one?​

they both hit 3 weeks tomorrow and the pistils are really starting to come out now... i will post some good pistil pics tomorrow. thanks for looking. any comments welcome.​

started both of them with two shredded bark seed plugs. grown in 3 gallons of miracle grow continuous-feed 3 month potting soil. started with daylight replicating bright white 23 and 26-watt cfl's and two days ago added 4 26-watt warm bulbs with one huge 42-watt warm cfl bulb for the non-defective lady. fed every four days with regular miracle grow veg nutes and just switched to fox farms bloom for the flowering stage. i will finish with a mix of the fox farms and unsulphered molasses. i have 6 cfl's on each plant as of now and will add more as i see fit.

i am running 20/4 light schedule until 2 days before harvest.

i am going for a maximum yield and to also prove someone wrong (i know spite is not the best reason, lol) that cfl's CAN produce good, quality and a sufficient amount of buds, if done right... i have never done autos before and they are not nearly as tall as my normal grows, but i have a lot of faith in these and they are just BOOMIN' right along at a very nice pace.

The more cfl's, the bigger and fatter the buds will be. i like to make my plants bushy anyway (instead of tall, skinny and lanky) so there is less stem to build up and HUGE stinky colas all over.​
