grow log: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/479642-cali-o-round-3-a.html

Strain: nirvana cali-orange, reg seeds, discontinued by nirvana

Growth: this was a micro grow, 78w cfl's, but she took well to the grow chamber
single female plant finished at 24 inches, definitely an indica in appearance
cut at 10 weeks of flower, even mix of clear/cloudy trichs, small number of amber

Nutes: soil was MG Organic garden, fed with a bone meal(MG 6-9-0)/molasses tea

Yield: not a spectacular yielder, my better grows are around an oz of dry bud, this was about 16g

Bag Appeal: very sticky buds, soggy with resin, 8 out of 10

Smell: probably the best trait, cured for 2 weeks and a heavy smell of grapefruit
a real get you high smell, 9 out of 10 easy

Taste: not nearly as good as the smell, was ok, but nothing special
i'd call it a smoky hash taste, and that's mj hash, not corn beaf
not a strong flavor, 6 out of 10, and that's being a bit generous

The High: the meat of the tomato, a good effect, but only in certain respects

1 - by far the uppiest indica i've had, pure straight stimulant
saw reports of this, and damn, they were right

2 - anxiety, i have anxiety issues, and looking for help
i'll give this strain its due, if it's not zero anxiety, it's very close
this was the rep i had seen on other reports, and they were also spot on

3 - the last trait, and it's not about what was there, it's what wasn't there
not much in the feel good category, it was a pure non anxious stimulant
very little euphoria, i'd describe the effect as being 'flat', not for everybody
it was good, but certainly not great, 7 out of 10, but that's from someone who liked the low anxiety

Comments: 1 plant/1 pheno - always hard to make much of summary from a single plant

4 weeks of additional cure, a very considerable difference indeed
the original report was at about 2 weeks of curing, which usually was pretty good for most strains i've run
this cali-o really took to the extra cure, a dramatic improvement
number 1 on the list is the taste, what was mediocre has become pretty good, not great but good
it now has some grapefruit in the flavor, and the odor has just gotten better with time
the high has moved right with the taste, more of a pleasant character, not super strong, but nice
i've run nirvana's PPP and this cali-o, both genetics produced the results promised, very true to the breeder description

thanks for the look and comment on curing
after it hit that sweet spot, seems to be holding, maybe a tiny bit better
that's what i've noticed about curing, you get to very sweet spot after a month or 2, then it changes a little
another year might make quite a difference, but she'll be gone long before that
