ill try for a whole plant shot this evening.
in the meantime.... if i mix 1 TBSP epsom salt in a gallon of water to foliar spray, how much of the mixture do i need to spray on 2 plants? you wouldn't spray the entire gallon on one plant, would you?

No. Just spray well. Light high. Respray tomorrow. By the way make sure it’s unscented!!!
light high means raise light while spraying, ill assume. then return to normal height immediately?
ive never done a foliar spray.... what am i aiming for, the entire plant?
unscented is a good call. ill doubt my wife has unscented epsom salts hanging around. lol
thanks for the help. it is very much appreciated

Can a person over do it with cal-mag? I've got the same issue but have been using cal-mag when feeding but apparently not enough. Just watered yesterday with cal-mag added after a top dressing of Dr. Earth 4-6-3 Would this hurt? Sorry for the hijack! @LordEnki

Calcium in excess is a major cause of nutrient lockout. Any nutrient in excess can lockout others but because of the way we use cal mag, or rather misuse it, it’s often the culprit.

I dont think the epsom salts is helping... Ill give it a few more days before switching tactics.

If something is locking out your mag, just adding more won't fix it, what nutes are you using, and what is your runoff PH and PPMs?

sorry about the lack of info...
autos in 5 gal FFoF soil with added perlite. Using Gaia Green fertilizer. no water to runoff. tap water only, 3-5L every 3-5 days as needed. its about time for next top dress also... i have no ph numbers to tell either.

they're both 10ish weeks from sprout. i top dress at 1 tbsp/gal medium. they only have about 2ish weeks left, so i guess i take notes and figure out a plan for next plants.

So is are these nutes in addition to the Dr. Earth?

Ok that explains it. We have a lot of FFOF threads on here.

Only reason I ask about the Dr. Earth is because we have some and I know the directions say that stuff can feed up to two weeks. So if you’re feeding that as top dress plus the other fertilizer you’re giving plus the hot FFOF soil that could be your lockout issue my friend.
