Nitrogen???

Slowly introduce bloom nutes while dropping N dosage throughout flower. I like to do half str grow and half str bloom for the first 3-4 weeks of flower then flowly reduce N feedings and increase bloom feedings until harvest, completely cutting N out 8-14 days before harvest depending on the strain.

To much nitrogen in flowering will result in a bigger plant with smaller flowers, but I've only seen this with synthetics (e.g. cannabis specific hydroponic nutrients). Outside, the soil is more forgiving, and lots of people including myself do just fine using an all-purpose slow releasing fertilizer.

Is nitrogen bad to have while flowering?

Due to the shortness of your question, I'm not really sure what you are asking. But that never stopped me before!

No, it's not bad. The plant still needs Nitrogen in flowering stage - just not as much. The general idea is that in veg stage the plant uses much more Nitrogen than Phosphorous (let's say twice as much). In the flowering stage, that 2-1 ratio is reversed - it uses twice as much Phosphorous as Nitrogen.

The point is that the plant still needs some Nitrogen to carry out various functions during flowering, just less of it!

You not only need to SLOWLY reduce N once flowering begins but someones you need to add N mid stage if the leaves begin to yellow too soon. I almost always add grow nutes about week 3-4 of flower a couple of times at low strength.

Thanks for all the input only asking the question because my plants are flowering but I'm using less nitrogen and my leaves are turning yellow rapidly. Not sure if it was normal for flowering or a deficiency

now is this common with a heavily leaning sativa as say "sour Diesel" its droppin leaves fast thats normal right? the plant is utilizing the nutrients in the foliage an putting all its energy to the "bud sites" correct?

In early flowering, this is not good. But in the last three, four weeks, you want to force the plant to consume its reserves. cn
