No All-Star baseball game in Atlanta

MLB on Friday announced that it will move its All-Star game from Atlanta in protest of the election reform package passed by the state’s Republicans last month. MLB Commissioner Robert D. Manfred Jr. announced the move in a news release saying that the decision was the best way to “demonstrate our values as a sport.”

Atlanta has a majority African American population (51%). MLB tried to virtue signal but actually hurt the Black population by doing so. Reason being, Colorado has nearly the exact same voter ID laws as the state of Georgia and the population of Colorado is extremely white. The All-Star event brings in many out-of-towners that in turn stimulate the local economy. Now, a very “white” city of Denver will benefit while the city of Atlanta and its inhabitants will not. The hypocrisy is real fellas. Don’t be fooled, this coming from neither a dem or republican

Yes, local population will be hurt a bit by losing one event. The state, however, will lose tens of millions in taxes. THAT is why they're freaking out.
Oh, and fuck CBS and their hypocritical coverage of the masters this weekend after coming out against the voting law.
