Hey Guys,

I'm just looking for some input on if the grow is going to plan. This is my first grow so i haven't got anything to compare with but looking at other peoples journals something doesn't seem right.

The girls have been flowering for 4 weeks now and the buds seem to be barely growing, here some info:

Strains - LSD, Vanilla Kush, Pineapple x
Height - 1.5 - 2ft
Lights - 600w HID ?(Dual Spectrum. im not sure if this is the issue)
Light Cycle - 12/12
Nutes - feeding a cap full every 2 days

I've had an issue where my timer has blown twice, fucking up the lighting for about 2 days. And there has been some big issues with light burn which is now sorted.

Any feedback is highly appreciated :)

Thanks!

if your lights have fucked up they may of gone back to veg so its going to take another 2+ weeks from when they fucked up, check for light leaks and if alls well just be patient let nature take its course keep on 12/12 and they will sort themselves out happy growing

Did the lights not turn on? Or did they not turn off? If they stayed on its def possible for them to go back into veg.

I vegged for 4 weeks and have been on 12/12 for 4 weeks now.

When the timer blew it left the lights on for about 2 days the first time and 1 day the second time. I was stupidly using a timer that was way overpowered but ive sorted that now.

Can a plant really change sex? I think that it would break my heart if that happened ha!

yes there hermaphrodites (HERMIES) (he, shes) which means they can pollinate themselves if shocked, its not all bad if they pollinate themselves you will still get buds but also seeds, if the plant was originally female, and you know for a fact it started life as a female you will have a shit load of 100% feminized seeds id put back to veg cut your losses with time and re flower after 2-3 wks or crack on the worst that could happen is you will never have to clone or buy seeds for a while, the weed is still strong but will lose out on yield as it will put energy into seeding instead of bulking hope thisbongsmilie helps

Stress can definitely cause a genetic mutation, eg. herman kains (hermaphrodites), weird stretchy running buds etc. Some varieties can herm-out even after something as small as a light leak, or some "special person" opening your flower room during the middle of the sleep cycle.

Having the lights on two days after 4 weeks of flower would count in my book as really high stress. They will more than likely take two extra weeks and yield less (best case scenario). This can affect potency also.

Worst case scenario, you get some really nice flowers with a few male preflowers (hermes). Just google some pictures of them and keep a VERY close eye on every single node from now until flower (which you should do anyways for bugs, deficiencies, diseases, etc). These hermes I would recommend throwing the whole plant away if you see one early flower (if you are new to growing).
Some people pick the hermie sights off throughout the entire grow. Pain in the arse if you ask me. Some people don't have the luxury to go out and grab new genetics though.

In my opinion, as long as you can keep an eye out for Mr. Cain, finish this flower out and see how it goes.

Also, please tell us your fan/ventilation specs? How big of a blower are you using on that 600w? And how big are those pots? I don't know if the resolution is messed up on my computer, or if that set-up looks really small to put a 600w on. Maybe it's just my screen, but I'd probably only want a 250w with that space/pots. Otherwise your plants look healthy to me.

Again thanks all for the input, invaluable for a novice!

- Im using a 8 inch variable speed fan on max setting 24/7, with a extractor hooked up to a carbon filter (i cant remember the power of it 230wts if it means anything) and a small PC fan also kicking out the heat.
- Noted on the bulb info! I'd like to say its your pixels but it probably is a case of a light to powerful for the area. Is the only issue to much heat or is a serious case of light burn coming?
- I'm using 12 litre Rhizo pots. Looking back these pots should have been bigger.

Critical
Yes mate definitely on 12 hours of complete darkness.

I've added some hopefully clearer pics of the room

Cheers boys.
