Mojo holds moisture about 30% longer than peat/perlite (peat that has commercial wetting agent applied) under high intensity light and greenhouse growing. There isn't a wetting agent added to Mojo - it is because of the microbiological process whereby there is 30% water chemically bonded to the organic fibers. Mojo utilizes organic chemistry (soil microbes do the work) to modify pH and add the microbiological agents. In order to see the best results - if trying to root out young plants - only use straight water for the first week, possibly two weeks. Where Mojo is the best, is for transplanting small rooted plants into. This is because Mojo has high levels or organic nutrients that will raise the EC. Most growers see improved growth results from the product if they modify their normal coir/peat blends fertilization program (use less fertilizer early) when growing in Mojo at 100%. However if they only mix in 25%-35% mojo to the peat/coir blends, then they can use their normal fertilization rates. Picture of Mojo and Peat/Perlite blend 3 1/2 weeks after transplanting a solo cup rooted young plant into #3 nursery container. Water only first week. Liquid Organic 3-1-1 fertilizer thereafter. Mojo in tomato growing trials will convert organic fertilizers twice as well for tomato plants.View attachment 2755068View attachment 2755069
